Terrible Starbucks. I was there for a little over an hour to do some work tonight. An hour and 15 minutes before close and they turn the heat off to prevent customers from lingering.
Then, at five minutes til close, I pack up my things and pick up my empty tea from my table, and not seeing a trash receptacle, place it on the counter in front of two young baristas who were busy talking about "inappropriate ages" to be friends with someone and eating pastries ... I say, "I'm just going to put this here" as I smile and walk out, and a barista snaps, "Is that empty??" I reply, "Uh, 90 percent empty," and she says, "Oh, there's a trash can over there," as she points to a receptacle that wasn't there 30 minutes ago because someone was mopping. As a long-time service industry worker myself, I was pretty surprised to see and hear this, so I say, "So you want me to throw it out?" She replies, "Uh-huh," as she covers her mouth while crumbs from the pastry she was stuffing her face with literally fall out of her mouth.
I'm not sure what I was more surprised by: The failure to help a customer with the most basic of job duties (busing tables when I didn't see a trash can, but no problem, I'll help you out) or the total lack of basic manners. I thought the corporately owned Starbucks were supposed to be the...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this Starbucks every weekday morning for a long time, but after my experience today, I can’t see myself going back.
I came in around 10:30am and ordered a blonde vanilla latte with oatmilk. I waited at the pickup counter for 20 minutes, only to find out my drink was one of the orders that got “lost” due to a printer issue. When I finally received it, it was missing the vanilla syrup, so I politely asked if it could be fixed. The drink was remade, but when the barista brought it to me, she slid it across the counter, said “here” in a dismissive tone, and walked away without another word. Not even an apology for watching me wait for my drink for 20 minutes (she was the one who took my order).
Mistakes happen—I completely understand that. But the way I was treated throughout this experience was disappointing and disrespectful. I’ve always made a point to be kind and patient, and I don’t think it’s too much to expect the same in return.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because no one should feel like a burden for simply wanting the drink...
Read moreI stopped at this Starbucks because I missed my exit to go through a drive-through. The time was close to 1 PM. I wasn't even acknowledged when I entered. The store wasn't super busy. There was one person in front of me. The guy took his order and just walked away talking to the other 3 people working that day. There were 2 girls chatting and making drinks. There was no sense of urgency whatsoever. The guy finally took my order and walked away. The 4 staffers there that day walked into the back and stood there talking. I was in a hurry, so I asked if they were going to make my drink. The girl got an attitude and said there were orders in front of mine. I'm thinking "yeah and you're not making those either!" I think there were only 3 drinks before mine, and I stood there for more than 10 minutes. I've never had such poor service from Starbucks! And then they expect a tip at these places....
