Subway — Restaurant in Des Moines

Black woman here. I was dropped off here by greyhound and was waiting my Uber. I sat in the lobby of the restaurant for about 10 mins until I asked to use the restroom. I saw that a man had asked to use the restroom about a few mins before me and there was no problem. When asked to use the restroom, the first associate didn’t even greet me just directed her manager to come over. I asked the manager can I use the restroom? The lady lied to my face and told me that I couldn’t use the restroom and that it was policy. I told her that I saw her allow a man to use the restroom, She said that the restrooms were dirty and that the man returned the key because he said that it was dirty. It sounded like bs, but I didn’t give them no problems. I walked outside and ran into the man who they gave the bathroom key to. I asked him was the bathrooms, dirty and did they allow you to use the bathrooms? The man said yes And proceeded to walk back into Subway with me and asked them why didn’t they give me the key when they gave it to him? The manager at the time gave excuses about policy, and the man said you didn’t give me no type of policy when I asked… He asked for the key again and she gave it to him when I went in the bathroom it was spotless. I wouldnt reccomend going to this subway location so i ordered pick up and i waited about 5-10 min before leaveing to go pick it up to give them time to start making it. I arrived at the subway they havent even started to make my order yet so i went next store to get something to drink about 10 min later the dude was done making my food . I got home sat down to eat i noticed it wasnt toasted as i put on the order that wasnt really to big of a deal consedering i just waited 20 min for my food but when i complety opend the sub crumbs fell out everywhere the bread was at least a day old it was hard and crunchy this was by far the worst subway experince i have ever had. Do not go here if i could give this zero...

I just moved out here this week and my first encounter at this subway was absolutely horrible, the customer service was terrible the employee was on the phone the entire time talking into his air-pod which was very disrespectful and he was only one employee doing the work of 2-3 people, i was in line for about and hour with no reassurance about the entire situation. After getting my food the employee did not say anything to me as i left. I will not be returning to this location until management can get control over there responsibilities or get some help for the night staff this whole situation could’ve been avoided if management planned...
