Taco John's — Restaurant in Des Moines

If someone had asked me a year ago how my service was I would've said great with no issues. I dont know if it's a whole new staff or what the issue is. But in the couple of months this is the 3rd consecutive time that something from my order wasn't there. This time it was all the potato oles from all the meals I ordered for my family. I work a 12 hour shift, grab food on the way home. Get home to find the missing food. Then have to go back to get the missing items. While I was sitting up front waiting for 15 minutes I counted around 7 cars come through all getting oles with no issue. Just to be told here are some fresh ones, some nice hot oles to go with my cold tacos at home for me. But don't worry i was given a couple of free taco coins to make up for it this time. Nothing on the last 2 times that things were missing besides a sorry about that. Pretty tired of having to waste my time driving there and waiting, just to drive back home to cold food.

P.S. I LOVE the sign in the window that says masks are required per the mayors mandate, but there were 2 employees making food that weren't wearing masks. At least they were...

Okay, I have to share an experience. I just left a negative review for Taco Bell. About 2 miles from the store. On august 22 I went to taco bell down the street I waited 11 minutes, did not get waited on while everybody at the drive thru was getting waited on (about 8 to 10 people). The manager said after eleven minutes it'd be quicker if you used the kiosk. I am not an employee of taco bell. I generally don't use self check out either. At any rate I drove down the street. Four minutes away walked up to the counter at taco john's. After three minutes I had my food and was out the door. I just want to say a lot of people only leave feedback when they're upset. I am just the opposite. But occasionally I do leave negative feedback. Taco John's your people did a great job. Keep up the good...

I’ve been to this Taco Johns a few times over the past several months. The last 4 times I have been asked to wait up at the front, a couple times for oles, once for chicken, and one time no reason given, for another 5 minutes. Today I got a meal for me and a meal for my 2 year old. After having to wait my regular 5 minutes, they not only didn’t give me the kid oles-which is the only reason we even go to TJs-but her taco had probably half an ounce of meat in it.
