Taco John's — Restaurant in Des Moines

Worst customer service ever. First of all I come here almst every other day, it usually is great service and to die for food. But yesterday ended it for me. I handed the worker a $20 bill, he then came back to the drive through window and stated it would b a min on the food, I then asked him for my change, he stated he's new and already shut the draw he had zero intensions on giving me the rest of my change which should have been $17, I had to argue with the guy, then a manager finally handed me a ten dollar bill still was short, I asked for my food, , they shut the window then came back and handed me the food after about a total of 10 minutes then they ended up never giving me back the rest of my change giving me the wrong food total altogether which then made me and my family really sick all day today I'm not sure what we had it was they ended up giving me some sort of spicy that made my entire family sick all day today nor did they give me my drinks that I ordered I will be definitely emailing corporate regarding this horrible service that I had and the change that, i didn't get and food that was not only not what I ordered but made me and my family sick as well as the drinks...

I ordered Taco John's after years thinking it would be great to have some potato ole's again. Saw the online meal steals and ordered the $7 meal steal. I now see they stole my money with some of the worst food I have seen in a while. The crunchy tacos had stale shells, cold meat, unmelted cheese and the lettuce was actually decent. The Ole's were cold and undercooked. The burrito..we'll never know. Went right in the trash with the rest. Worst "Mexican" meal I have ever had. I've been eating Taco John's since the 1980's but it is over. We are done. Consider this our official divorce. Never, ever again will I eat at this sad little establishment. They need to completely rebrand. It is over for Taco Juans. I would say do not go to this location!!! Just spend 10 minutes waiting to order and then I get to the window and no order. I had to repeat my order 6 times before they got it right, then waited another 25 minutes to get it. They said they would get my order done now.... Then a 5 minute drive home the food was ice cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. Bean burritos the chesse wasn't even melted, The tacos were not worth eating. I asked for a diet coke while I continued to wait, the young man said ok, gave me my drink and was diet Pepsi, told him I ask for diet coke....he told me we don't have that, but it's the same taste....really!
