If I could have given no stars to post, I would have. Absolute worst experience with the female working the cash register that acts as if she's the owner and everyone should be glad that she's even servicing them! First off, placed a phone order at 6:15 for a kabob dinner. Arrived approx. 15 mins. later and was told that there had been some kind of miscommunication with the chef and it would be approx. another few minutes for him to make a second kabob. Went to my car and waited patiently for approx. another 10 mins. When I went back inside, the cashier patently ignored me and continued to wait on other customers. At approx. 6:55, I waved her attention to me again...she then presumes to 'lecture me' on the virtue of patience and negative vibes and other b.s. in an offensive attempt to cover her ineptitude. By now, it's 7 p.m. She got so belligerent, that (3) other customers who were waiting and were privy to the exchange got so made at her gall, that they cancelled their orders and attempted to chastise her regarding her attitude, but of course, since her position was that she was 'doing a favor' by staying open, and that we should be grateful for whatever, whenever!! Know this lady, the pandemic won't be the reason for your restaurant folding...it will definitely be your lack of any customer service skills!! Then to add insult to injury, after I left and took the food to my 91 yr. old Mother, it wasn't even fully cooked....it was totally inedible. I and nobody else I know and can reach will ever patronize that spot again!!!!!!!! I did go back to return the food, but when I got there, there were approx. 10 patrons standing around and only (3) were masked!! Bad food and covid 19 vibes...thanks but no thanks...I'll simply count it as a cheap...
Read moreI patronized Barbecue Central when they first opened on West seven Mile and Meyers and the first three times I went the order was wrong or the food just wasn't right. I wanted to still give them a chance so I patronize them a couple more times. Well fast forward to now a year and a half later hadn't been decided to give them another chance and go order my food they left something out. Call them to let them know please check orders before people leave but guess what, on hold three times for almost 10 minutes each time. Finally reach someone and let her know what's wrong with my order, she offers no apologies or anything just ma'am come back and get with you missing. REALLY?!. Then the young lady says oh okay well I apologize just come back and get what you're missing,. Horrible, horrible, horrible I had planned on at least patronizing them two more times in the next couple of weeks but I'm sorry I just can't give people my money, which I spent over $30, to be treated horribly! STAY AWAY! After posting review of my experience, the owners reply which I noticed is a pattern with all unhappy reviews posted was to take an unprofessional defense instead of apologizing and hoping to improve my experience if I would only decide to come back again. I see why BBQ Central employees were not trying to make the situation better, they get the unprofessional response from the owner. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree! In this business you have to learn and grow from the good...
Read moreUpdate to owners response: Took it down to one star because the owner seems petty. 🤷🏾♀️ Ribs were fatty and chewy, trim them better and people won't put how bad they were. And yes, when you give someone the bottom of the mac and cheese pan, those are called scraps...
Long post alert ⚠️ This was our second time here. The first time we came was fathers day. (Bad day to eat out anywhere, but we gave it a go)
We tried many times before to order from here, they don't answer the phone. My brother ordered for us through Doordash and we finally had food. The problem was, we ordered 2 slabs of ribs. We open the bag, 2 containers full of rib tips. They took it upon themselves to switch out our ribs for rib tips, which we don't eat (all gristle and no meat). The sides were ok, but we were so mad about our ribs nothing tatsed good. And again, they don't answer the phone.
Cut to a few days ago and now we learned the trick. Order through doordash( which I hate because it raises the price on everything and I don't use doordash) then go pick it up. Finally got the ribs we wanted, except now, they are fatty. And chewy not good at all. The mac and cheese was scraps from the pan. The greens were meh. The yams were spectacular, that was basically the only thing we liked. Potato salad was ok.
For the 2 times we've been, I think that was more than enough. We'll try...
