I waited a month to give my review in hopes that my complaint was resolved. I placed an order online before heading to work. I picked up my food through the drive-thru and noticed my bag was light as I was driving off, I was pressing for time and had already waited about 30 minutes to get my food. I figured I may have been a few tenders short or something which I was fine with because I still had something to eat. I get settled at work and open my box and in front of me sat the driest fries and tenders I’ve ever seen in my life!! I was so shocked at first, because first of all, why would anyone think that it was OK to serve that quality of food to anybody?! The tenders were so dry and hard I made a video tapping them against the table sounding like a rock. I immediately contacted checkers to place a complaint and filled out the survey. No one reached out so I called to follow up on my complaint, gave them the ticket information and they told me someone would contact me shortly. A few days later I got an email from the district manager, J. Butchart basically telling me he was sorry to hear about my recent inconvenience at the location and to get a refund I would need to reach out to the website/service I used to place my order. Asking for a refund is just the tip of the iceberg and I explained that to him when I replied, I wanted to know what corrective action did he plan on taking to assure that doesn’t happen again to anyone else, what I got in that box I wouldn’t give to a dog. After waiting for a reply I called checkers back and was told my case was closed and had to reopen under a new number and that my complaint would be escalated to corporate and I would be contacted within 3-4 business days. Here I am a month later with no refund or response, the refund should’ve been automatic after the complaint was placed online, there was no option to request a refund.
