Midwest Grille — Restaurant in Detroit

I was excited to try this place based on the menu and Google pics. I got there wanting to place 3 orders. The main meal, the reason that had me going there, they were out of. Lamb chops. I had to call my person and see what they wanted. The guy came to the window twice during this time. I told him I would ring the bell when I was ready. Just as I had decided and was ready to order, the guy came from behind the glass saying that somebody might be back soon but he had to get his son. This man was literally kicking me out as I was preparing to order! As I asked what time they closed, he answered 8pm while putting a lock on the door. It was 5pm! He pulls off and I am standing there in the parking lot blown away by the rudeness and inconsideration. So he came to take my order twice but never mentioned that he would be leaving. No idea why he even came to take my order if he would not be around to prepare it! I have had some bad service in my life with restaurants, but this tops it all! Don't get me wrong I understand the need to pick up your child. The poor communication and non-chalant attitude was not something I could understand. I...

I patroned this place a couple months ago, forgot to post my review.

I ordered the shrimp, chicken, rice, broccoli meal. It was over priced between 25 and 28.00 I believe. It was a lunch size proportion, the small black container. It was ok but the shrimp was very orange and the inside of the shrimp was yellow instead of white/pink/opaque. Old maybe? I paid for the meal and wasnt given a receipt so I assumed it would be given to me stapled on the container or in the bag but it wasnt, so I asked for it. Well I ended up going back and forth with the cashier who told me I was supposed to REQUEST the receipt at the time of the order, wow! He went on to say some other things I wont discuss here.

I only ate here once, maybe an isolated incident. Would try it again despite this incident. I would clean up and keep clean the parking lot. And get a updated...

For me this place was just ok. I may order again to see if the food improves any, but as for what I ordered...it was pretty blah.

I ordered the lamb chop dinner. The chops were smaller than I’m used to getting at other places and though they were cooked right, the sauce they add is pretty mediocre.
