Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Detroit

Sketchy area. Parking right to left of store. Felt really weird the location of the drive through and uncomfortable to be in there I went at night like 8pm ish! Or a little earlier … I got two blizzards a cookie dough mini for my daughter and a medium one for me that was the chocolate brownie one. Don’t look at it until I got home because I was trying gtfo there the sign is not light up dairy queen at all. I thought they weren’t even open. I got home the ice cream was just about melted blizzards are supposed to be thick and if you turn them upside down they won’t fall. No f way I could barely turn it slightly to side without it falling out, this was soft serve ice cream from a machine with random pieces of chocolate in it which I did not hit any brownie pieces until the absolute bottom the same was for my daughters definitely will not be going back my sister in law keeps raving about Dairy Queen like it was amazing so that’s why i tried it but it sure is not no thanks not worth the drive or money. Poor quality “ice cream” I wish I had taken pictures…. But then again I ended up not taking any because I thought it was not worth the time and effort. Well you can't really get ice cream wrong but this restaurant has managed almost to do so. All the staff where young people and as a native detroiter I love to see young people at work but there has to be boundaries. I arrived and instead of going through the drive-thru I used the walk-up window. The music was so loud that the cashier could not hear my order. Instead of cutting the music down she asked me to speak up because she"couldn't hear".

Not only was the music loud but it was also profane. Since I had a lengthy order I went to sit in the car I came back to check on the order and when I asked about the order the cashiers response was "what about it??". This behavior is unacceptable and won't get you far. These young ladies need polishing. Hopefully this can be corrected but for now I do...

So it's been a minute since I've been to this location because I've been going to the one that's new that's off of 6 Mile and middlebelt. Needless to say I could of drunk this blizzard. I got a mini royal cheesecake blizzard and when I took the lid off after having it for 5 seconds from the window to my hands it's already melted. I went back to the window to say it's usually served upside down but in this case it couldn't be served that way(as it should it's a blizzard!) because it's liquid. She decided to tell me I should of asked for no lid and that only certain blizzards come that way where they are served upside down. Is this some new crap?! Since when?!
