Gratiot Grill — Restaurant in Detroit

I’m not from the area, and just had a small surgery. I was hungry so I thought I just dropped in. First I asked did they have cod fish, the older white lady said yes. A black woman was standing by the door.

Then I asked did they take virtual credit cards from my phone. (I get that the older lady might not had of known anything about this)

The black girl was so rude and yelled out that, “we don’t do that” !! So I asked, “if I was to order my food over the phone, and wanted to pay how could you accept that” ? Black girl… we don’t do that !

So I ordered the sandwich, and paid for it in the different form. By this time two other men came in. They ordered, and sat down. All of the sudden the black girl is super nice ! No Need to tell you what color they were.

My food was ready, and when I say this was a square, frozen looking, and tasting fake cod fish every!! For $9.00 and some…. And to add insult to injury an older man came out from the back. Spoke to the two guys, and said nothing to me. Then the bums came in. Stood over me while I ate. The place is small, but usually those places have good food. (So I thought) but the two men that came in before me food looked good with good customer service! Lol I...

I’m from out of town . On Saturday 06/24/23. I returned to my hotel room at midnight starving. This was the only place recommended open 24 hours near my hotel. I placed my order by phone: Lady was not very friendly or helpful. I ordered a few items. (I’m NOT a burger 🍔 person but I was craving one) I asked what came on the burger and she said “ I don’t have time to explain, look at the menu and call back”. I didn’t have time for that so I just ordered it. Then she said “Cash Only” I arrived to pick up my food and it must have been a rough area. She couldn’t give me a receipt she hand wrote one., and pushed me out the door as if I was gona Rob her. SMH . $42 for 2 burgers 2 Fries and 2 drinks + chicken tenders only.

Rough area, cash only, customer service sucks!...

I ordered some wingdings the other night. When I got there to pick them up the cook that is a young woman that dress like a boy just stood there looking at me weirdly. My food hadn't been packaged up it was still hanging over the fryer. She act almost as if she did not want to serve it to me. After being asked several times by the older cook she put it in the container and passed it forward. After leaving and beginning to eat my food I realized why she was acting that way. My food was rotten and I immediately started to get sick and vomit. Restaurants like this should not be allowed to service...
