EDIT: I've been a pretty regular customer here since they opened, and have raved about when they were new. Sadly, they have been in a steady decline over the last 6 months or so. The plates you get are inconsistent (sometimes you get grilled veggies with your skewers, sometime you don't, sometimes they bring you bread, sometimes they don't). The food quality is still usually pretty good, but my last visit they brought me shish kabob instead of the kafta halabi I ordered (no help from the waiter when this was brought to his attention), and it was inedible it was so chewy. Again, no grilled vegetables this time, but we were offered bread halfway through our meal. Prices have gone up a lot since they opened, and I would be fine with that if the plates were consistent and they could keep a decent waitstaff, but as things are I can get do better elsewhere for less money.

I've been here several times since they opened, and I can't say a single bad thing about this place. The food is fantastic, the service has always been friendly and efficient, and the prices are very fair. The restaurant is very clean and I've never had a problem with my bill. I've eaten through most of the skewers, and everything has been delicious. The whole chicken is definitely worth calling ahead for and is a bargain for the amount of delicious food you get. I question the authenticity of some of these negative reviews, because the negative comments do not reflect the restaurant I've eaten at four times...

I recently tried the chicken shawarma from Hawilo Grill , and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. The shawarma was packed full of tender, juicy chicken, and the spices and marinade used gave it a wonderful flavor. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of char on the edges.

The shawarma also came with a variety of toppings, including crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, tangy pickles, and a flavorful garlic sauce. The toppings were all fresh and perfectly complemented the chicken, adding texture and depth of flavor to the dish.

One thing that really stood out to me about this chicken shawarma was the quality of the ingredients. You could tell that everything was fresh and carefully sourced, which made a big difference in the overall taste and experience of the dish.

The portion size of the shawarma was also generous, making it a great value for the price. And despite being a takeaway dish, the chicken shawarma held up well during transport and was still warm and delicious when I got it home.

Overall, I would highly recommend trying the chicken shawarma from [takeaway restaurant name]. It's a flavorful and satisfying meal that is sure to please, and the quality of the ingredients really sets it apart from other shawarmas I've had in the past. If you're looking for a delicious and convenient meal on the go, this chicken shawarma is definitely worth...

NO LONGER HAWILO GRILL. New place is taj shawarma and no where near as good as the old hawilo. Here is my review for the new place.

Probably the worst service I’ve ever received from a restaurant. I don’t ever write bad reviews so this should mean something. The server took all of our orders but didn’t write anything down. We were a table of 5 and he went back to his machine and inputted everything by memory. They brought two shawarmas that were both wrong. Then they brought another wrong order. Then they give our order to another table. They proceeded to take the plate of food from the other table and give it back to us. Who does that? What if they touched that food or started eating from it. I ordered a ribeye shawarma and the meat was fully grey in the inside. At the end they still completely forgot one shawarma after 20 mins of waiting. After we finished eating I went to the owner and complained about the service we received. He apologized for the confusion but argued that the ribeye was cooked to medium well. He wouldn’t apologize for the server messing up orders because he didn’t write down our orders. Overall very bad experience, owner wouldn’t take any accountability and just shrugged me off when I say I wasn’t happy with the service. Food was mediocre at best. Miss the old hawilo grill. Wouldn’t...

i had the pleasure of checking out a new restaurant that opened up recently. If you’re ever Lebanon and looking for street food like arayas, @hawilogrill is the place to be. This place reminds you of food from overseas, and I know some of you guys get homesick sometimes, so check out this place. Everything was made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients and you could really taste it. Everything is made fresh and never frozen. The grilled kabob, kafta, and tawook were so delicious and juicy. Everything was unbelievable, from the baba gannoush which had a beautiful Smokey flavor to it, to the “WOW” sandwich. This sandwich comes with tawook, coleslaw, lettuce, pickles, garlic, hand cut fries, and ketchup. The flavors really went well together and made you go “WOWWW”, which is where the name came from. The addition of the pomegranate seeds in the fattoush salad definitely takes the cake. The Whop is actually the halal version of the whooper from Burger King and it has so much flavor. Overall, everything was amazing.. including customer service. Highly recommend you guys check this place out. They are 100% HALAL, and only use the freshest ingredients! They are located on Greenfield Rd. In between Warren Rd. and Ford Rd.

Absolutely delicious! As soon as you walk in you smell that bbq. Everything is fresh and made when you place your order. Outstanding and excellent service, we called in an hour before closing and the whole chicken usually takes an hour and 20 mins, mentioned that we we’re from NY, they accommodated us. The presentation of the food was on point. Our server was Razan, she was very attentive and almost was reading my mind and would bring napkins, cups, drinks even before I would ask for it. Special thanks to Ali the line cook for going above and beyond to accommodate us.

WOW! The Grilled chicken on charcoal is DA BOMB, the Best I’ve had on this continent, perfectly seasoned, perfectly slow cooked, order ahead. Next, the grilled meat , kafta and tawook were all delicious, tender and juicy. The sandwiches looked great also, burgers and hand formed from ground ribeye. This place is a must try, clean and great service. Eman, the server that helped us was super nice and made great suggestions for what to order.
