I was not going to say anything but, i was so disappointed that i had to share. I always pick up my order from Pizza Hut drive through window here in Devine. Today I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip at the drive through window and I said no. Well to my surprise the person at the window got very angry that i denied her a tip. She has checked me out many times before and I mean many. About 2 or 3 times a week. There isnt many good places to eat here in this small town. I have always thought she was so sweet. To my surprise the denied tip made her show her true colors. Wow, I couldn't believe how angry she got. Seriously!! And who tips at the drive through window anyway? So i had thought to my self "you should have tipped, because as angry as she got at me she was probably going to taint my pizza". But I had to let her know that "I can't believe you are this angry at me for not giving you a tip at the drive through window" , and she didn't say anything. She just had that look on her face. The look of.....I can't explain it. But i knew it was not a good look. When I got home i was still bothered about how angry she was about not getting tipped, at the drive through window. So i left disappointed at her angryness at me that when i got home I told my husband about it, the first thing out of his mouth was you better inspect your pizza before you eat it, because if she got as angry as you say she did you probably have a surprise in it. Lol. So i lol as well and said to him" i did think that too " So I decided to inspect my personal size pan pizza just in case and guess what?..... yupp, there was some wet clear stuff right in the cener of the bottom of my personal pan pizza. It was so wet that the card board warped into ridges. I have ordered many and yes i mean many pizzas from there and when the pizza has been eaten the box never warps like so, unless the condensation of my drink wets my box. And i knew it wasnt the sauce because the spicy marinara sauce is thick and the sauce would be running down the side of the sliced pizza. But they barely put any sauce on it. I was so glad that I did decide to inspect my personal size pizza. I did take a picture of it, but I still get disgusted to see that picture. I have to say I was even more disappointed in this sweet girl. Even if it was not her who did it, because it could have been her friend who has her back for not tipping her, in my head it might as well been her. I still can not get over how angry she was at me for not tipping at the drive through window. The sweet girl that i have always thought she was turned out to not be so sweet after all, especially for not recieving a tip from me and i cant say it enough, AT THE DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW!! It would have been different is she was waiting on me at the table, because i know waitresses dont get paid that much. All i can say very sadly is they have lost a good reliable customer. I was so loving the spicy marinara sauce personnel pan pizza with no cheese and caramelized onions and fire roasted peppers. The best pizza ever!! Oh well, that's that!! Sorry if it's so long, my first...
Read moreThree stars would be too generous for my experience at this Pizza Hut. I ordered a personal pan pizza with two toppings and the smallest order of six hot wings. They charged me $22.00. They charge two dollars for each topping. It doesn't matter if it's just a little sprinkle of olives or a few slices of pepperoni, each topping is two dollars each. The personal pan pizza is very small. It's basically four very small slices, most of which is the base ingredient of "breading" which is mostly flour. Flour is one of the cheapest ingredients in the world of food. The pizza I received was very decent but nothing to rave over. The bone-in hot wings were very good except that one of them looked strange and was very over-cooked. It had meat missing off of it too, not like it had been bitten off but more like it had sat in high heat for so long, it had atrophied away. If this small meal hadn't of been so expensive, it would have been almost humorous. Overall, the meal was decent but certainly not worth $22.00.
Here's the rub; I realize our economy is undergoing massive inflation and thus the cost of everything has skyrocketed over the past year. Some employers in the area FINALLY seem to be raising wages by a few dollars per hour but it's too little, too late. Too many people are living in a world with 1980s wages and 2021 prices. At some point, I believe business owners are going to have to start making some very real personal sacrifices if they want to stay in business. Business owners cannot keep passing the rise of costs to consumers without losing their customers. I also understand that it's more difficult to find young people with any work ethic. I've seen this everywhere. Employees are more likely to be scrolling through their phones or staring into outer space than putting any attention on customers. I have no doubt this is why the Pizza Hut (and many businesses around Devine) have very inconsistent customer service to their patrons. They want cheap employees but cheap people don't care about their jobs. Bottom line; employers better wise up quickly because if they don't, they are going to price their goods so high, no one will be able to buy their products or services. If prices must be astronomical to cover expenses, they had better make darn sure every order and/or product or service is impeccable to retain customers. If I'm going to pay $22.00 for a tiny pizza and six chicken wings, it better be perfect, sprinkled with unadulterated love and not mediocre at best! I will not be returning to this Pizza Hut in the near future. A very good frozen pizza and a bag of wings from the local Dollar General would be half the cost or less and just as tasty or better. Finally, I have read the review responses from the "owner" here. Your responses are just as "canned" as your food and service, none of which qualify you for happy, returning customers. I suggest you either get a real business manager into your facility or just lay low and keep hoping the name, "Pizza Hut" will continue bringing you business. I wish you good luck as it honestly breaks my heart to see businesses in a small...
Read moreI ordered a pizza online. The special that you can pick any topping you want for 1299 paid for the pizza. And the special instructions I asked to leave two pieces with cheese only a quarter of the pizza. Basically. I get call from the lady that works at Pizza Hut and tells me they can’t do that. I told her that they do it for me all the time she said I can either have half of it with cheese and a half with what I ordered. I said no I want a quarter just cheese like two slices they do it for me all the time I said, my son will not eat nothing but cheese and he only can eat two pieces. She says well get it all made with cheese or all the way you want it with toppings She was very rude. I told her no I want it. Two slices of cheese the rest with my toppings. She hung up on me. I go down there. The lady asked if she could help me, so yes I had to order online. Somebody called then hung up on me she immediately. goes and gets The guy from the back he comes to cash Register With an attitude .dressed unprofessional shirt, all wrinkled hair messed Looks like he just woke up up somebody. Says I can’t do that. I been ordering this way last few years and no one has had a problem doing it for me. He said nope that he will not do it. I asked for my money back he said that he could cancel the order but he couldn’t give me my money back. I’ll have to wait for them to send it back to my bank which is not right. I told him with that type of attitude and customer service that I wouldn’t come back here again after eating here since the store opened and I would tell my friends and family About the customer service, and the dirtiness of the restaurant part and he said he doesn’t care! Plus, when I walked into the building Majority of the tables are full of dirty plates, and Pizza the floors are nasty. I did notice a lot of talking and joking around in the Kitchen area. Very disappointing after all these years of...
