There are 3 things that make a restaurant visit memorable: Service Food Atmosphere. The first thing that may make or break your visit is the service. Are they appreciative of you patronizing their establishment and give you a warm greeting, or are they disinterested and could care less if you're there or not.
We arrived only to be meet with indifference and a sour attitude. The hostess that seated us walked so fast to the table that we lost sight of her. Once we caught up, she set the menus on the table and hurriedly walked out without saying a thing. Let me backtrack and say that she was having a conversation with 2 other hostesses at the outside entrance to the restaurant and seemed upset that we were an inconvenience to her, interrupting her conversation with them. Once inside we decided that the music was way too loud for 8 am and then decided to go back to this hostess stand and get a table outside. We were carrying the menus and silverware with us. Once outside this hostess was not happy with us coming back and proceeded to dig out another menu. My girlfriend said that we had menus and the hostess snipped back and said I know that. Really?? I will not stay at any restaurant that doesn't appreciate my patronize and ridicules me. Management, you need to train your employees to do their job rather than stand around and talk among themselves. I have been here a couple of times in the past and have to say the food is good, but after this experience I won't be back. And you know what? They couldn't care less. We left and went to another restaurant that did appreciate us...
Read moreI'll start this off saying the food was great but also the only reason this place is getting 2 stars. Go back of house! I'm sure this was an off day, or just one particular server that isn't fit for the restaurant business. 0 out of 3 stars for service.
Upon walking on the deck of the restaurant,we were looking for outdoor seating. No host up front, so I ask a bartender who says I have to ask a host. We wait for 3 minutes before a busboy sees us up front and, distressed after looking around for the host, seats us. Our server, who never introduced herself not was wearing a name tag, short, young brunette, got us drinks and then we asked for just one more minutes to decide our order... 25 minutes later I finally asked another server to put our order in, she was reluctant enough to do so. Our server finally appears 5 minutes later to take our order. She simply says "Oh." and walks away when we tell her someone else already helped us.
This is when I started to notice all the employees were on their phones, laughing about, one guy even had headphones in. I watched our server go behind the bar 4 different times and coming out with no drinks, I assume they text back there.
I'm a pretty laid back person, I love talking with servers and poking fun at how crappy the job can be at times, I personally have over 2 years of experience in the food industry and I love trying new places out, especially when the online reviews are good. However, this is an experience that turned me off completely as a new customer. I will not...
Read moreUnfortunately had a terrible experience and me and the family ended up leaving. We were already seated received food and everything. I left out to go place phone in the car to charge. As I returned, outside security allowed a Caucasian man and then a Caucasian woman to go back inside. I continued to go back inside and was stopped and told that I had to go get to the back of a very long line. I explained to the guy that I was literally just in there. My family have a large table. He said it doesn’t matter. I then Spoke with the supervisor and explained “I don’t understand why I’m being told to go to the back of a line when his employee literally just allowed the guy and then a lady walk in. Both stating the same thing that I said. (They mentioned that their friends and family were in there waiting for them) I called my mother who was inside already. Long story short we asked for the check and ended up leaving. Still tipped the waitress as it had nothing to do with her. The world we still live in is sad! I wouldn’t have had an issue if they were turning everyone away and making them go to the line. I don’t want to believe it, but I genuinely felt like there was discrimination at that moment…. If you check the one star reviews, I noticed a couple of others had similar experiences! This is a huge no and I’ll be letting friends and family know that this place is a definite no. Y’all need...
