My Lunch Spot — Restaurant in Diamond Bar

I'm a local truck driver, and I happened to take a 30 minute break just down the street from My Lunch Spot. I was hungry and I needed a restroom, so I went to their sandwich shop. The restroom was only for employees, which I totally understand, but when the owner learned that I was a truck driver (and very hungry 😋), she was more than happy to let me use their restroom. She was so nice about it, explaining to me that her Mom has some health issues, which is the main reason she limits the people using the facilities. I agreed with her wanting to exercise caution to avoid exposing her Mom, yet she still allowed me to use their facilities. The breakfast sandwiches is why I came, but sadly missed it by a few minutes 10:42 am. The board clearly stated the cut off time so no argument there. It's a small mom/pop family setting here at "My Lunch spot". Almost feels like everyone working behind the counter is related and working hard together as one unit getting these orders out. Didn't ask, but it felt like daughter, mom and grandma was back there getting these sandwiches ready. If that's the case, I'm a fan just of that alone. I ordered club sandwich, flaming hot freetos (nobody ever has these chips, THANKS) and a large Dr Pepper. It tasted great, almost like if my mom had just made me the sandwich. This place is an actual Goldmine. The people here are wonderful. You get greeted with a smile from everybody as you walk in. Now let’s talk about their food. It’s absolutely delicious. The cranberry sauce turkey is a must try. It’s always a steak sandwich. There’s a lot of meat in there and you won’t go wrong!!! chicken noodle soup is actually home made not attend or Store but you can tell by the texture. Everything was grilled her to perfection and sautéed deliciously to its perfection. This place is ran by the granddaughter who helps out the grama! She’s very bubbly very humble very nice.
