My service organization regularly came to Silver Spoons' predecessor, so when we found out that Silver Spoons was open, we made the restaurant our next meeting location so we can try it out!
I usually order my go-to to test out a Thai restaurant, so I ordered the pork pad see ew ($14.95) and mild golden curry with chicken ($14.95). I would've ordered a fried rice, but the mild papaya salad ($13.95) caught my attention instead. Note that the dishes come with your choice of chicken, pork, or tofu included in the price, but if you want beef, it'll be an extra dollar, and for shrimp, an extra $2. What was surprising was that the curry doesn't come with white rice. You'd have to fork out an extra $2.50 for that. I thought everything tasted great, though both the papaya salad and pad see ew was a little heavy on the sauce.
My friend ordered mango sticky rice ($12.99) for dessert and I was surprised and happy they had that available (I went to another Thai restaurant during Christmas time and while they had the mango sticky rice on the menu, they said it was not in season so they weren't selling any). I took a few bites of it and enjoyed it -- not too sweet and not too heavy! Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free Thai tea.
Service was pretty good! There's plenty of space inside for small and large groups. Plentiful parking too in the...

We ordered and enjoyed all below:
BBQ short rib platter: this was well seasoned short ribs, that comes with a side of salad, rice with cooked shrimp on top, Thai dipping sauce and a drink of your choice.
Mussel de coco: this is a green muscle dish doused in savory sweet green curry sauce. It was perfect cooked and I practically finished it by myself. I took the remaining sauce home to eat with white rice.
Massaman curry with chicken: so savory but a hint of the coconut milk sweetness. I loved it. The cashew nuts were a nice touch of nutty flavor town. My favorite dish here.
Thai titanic soup: loaded with seafood (crab, scallop, squid, fish &shrimp), with that Tom yum like broth. Super comforting to eat in the cold winter
The staff was excellent and very attentive although we came in a rush hour. They made sure we were not neglected. Can't wait to come back and try...
Read moreExtremely disappointing experience. Why is there a random piece of grocery store wheat bread with my skewers? cut into triangles like Texas toast? That doesn’t seem authentic. Random, pointless, totally lame and uncalled for.. just like that nasty cucumber thing also on the side... nothing like having extra food that’s barely edible to make a weak dish even weaker. Chicken satay was so flavorless and undercooked that I ended up re-marinating it in teriyaki sauce and putting it in my air fryer for 16 minutes. At that point it was edible but I feel like I did all the work myself. Soup was bad too. Ordered this food because of the high rating, so now I feel obligated to lower the score. This way hopefully more people don’t make the same mistake I did. Total waste of money. Shameful. Not sure how this place is getting any praise when there’s dozens of better Thai restaurants in the same...
