Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Diamond Bar

I had to dock a star so my official is 3.75 😆..so I've been to maybe 4 habits . 3 in cali and one in vegas and they're pretty consistent across the board quality wise. I'm a fan. .. my rating is cuz the last order my ranch was hella watered down. We all know restaurants have cost saving measures and many are marginal or barely noticeable. The ranch taste like ranch flavored milk and the texture looks like milk with specks in it lol. Dipping my onion ring the ranch was dripping off so i had to shake it so it wouldn't get all over me. They need to fix it!! I think the mamager at this one assumes cuz they give a courtesy cup of ranch that we can't be picky. It ruined my appetite to an extent. Even dollar tree ranch dressing is thicker lol . If you're going to cut corners do it on the napkins or mustard/hot sauce..ranch is sacred!!!

As far as the burgers... They are amazing! The bun is slightly toasted in the inside and you can tell the buns are fresh not stale. I recommend the charburger sans those onions cuz I'm not a fan of those personally. I mostly like cheese on my burgers but here I can enjoy either with or without. used to really like the bacon bbq cheeseburger charburger . Another good one is the double cheese char and add 🥓 and thank me later!!!

Fries are good standard fast food fries . The onion rings are my favorite (with ranch ). I haven't tried the other sides .

The tuna burger I had years ago it is really good I like it. It's like Mahi or ahi idk but not like tuna sandwich kind lol . It's the kind like u see at sushi places .

Grilled cheese wasn't toasted enough for me but my dad likes it. They put too much cheese (oxymoron I know lol) but for me American cheese is the one type of cheese that too much can ruin things . Cheddar would be a different story imo.😄

Drinks..the green tea and fruit Fresca all that are good when you eat in. Plus they have Splenda and all that to add. I used uber eats and was in the mood for soda. I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and bubbly the diet Pepsi is. Now to me yes it matters cuz unfortunately fountain drinks can go either way taste or carbonation wise. Usually you notice it more at mom& pop places . I've had friends that worked in the food industry so I know why that is but I digress.

Overall I recommend habit cuz I'm usually satisfied and I like they have different options in case I want to ear here but...

I came to a dark yet mind-blowing epiphany: I might actually like The Habit's protein Double Charburger more than In-n-Out's protein burger, double patty. Although the latter is still a little bit cheaper, but The Habit isn't too far off at $4.79 for just the burger, especially since the quality is just so much better. It took a few trips for me to really solidify my love for their protein burger just to make sure I wasn't being bamboozled. Hahaha.

The meat patty is thick and delicious, it's juicy and tender with great flavor that I'm actually full for the rest of the night versus unfortunately In-n-Out's patty has gotten extremely thin over the years (and why I always have to order double or triple meat to be full). Their lettuce wrap is always done nicely because the size ratio to patty is fitting so it's not a mess to eat (contrary to In-n-Out's which always leaves my hands/face a mess because the patty is never big enough for the lettuce so the burger just kind of falls everywhere whilst I eat). Don't get me wrong, In-n-Out has been my #1 my entire life... But man, The Habit might've just took that hard earned spot! LOL.

While I still admit, while The Habit customer service is pretty good, In-n-Out still has it hands down, everyone there is so friendly and sweet...

At first I wasn't happy, I got takeout and they missed my tenderloin sandwich. I was upset because now all of my dinner would be cold by the time I got back home. So I went in (there's no phone number to call ahead) and told the guy at the counter I needed my meal remade. He asked if I was missing my tenderloin sandwich and I said yes. After that everything changed. I was upset my order was wrong because 1: when I've gotten the wrong orders at other fast food places they give the missing item and don't care the rest of my food getting cold. (Taco-Bell left my food ) 2: I was hangry and don't know why my order was missing the tenderloin sandwich. The manager started my meal over right then, no problems! He returned my meal I brought back, for later. I was given coupons for a couple of char burgers. The manager apologized an hour and another person apologized, then I was apologizing! Seriously, they were all so nice and helpful. I went in trying not to be mad but expecting the Taco Bell response of "who cares?" I was surprised to say the least. Obviously The Habit trains their employees and managers much better than Taco Bell. And the food...
