I've been in this area for almost 7 years now and being from Lousinana I've struggled to find GOOD crawfish and seafood! Like back home. I finally found it and the service was excellent! I missed the picture of my crawfish because I was ready to dig in they looked so good! They were a decent size, seasoned VERY well and so easy to peel which is VERY rare to find (Even back home)! The boiled shrimp was cooked a little too long so it was hard to peel but they were a very nice size....the shrimp platter, I didn't taste but looked wonderful. You get two sides which we got the fries and dirty rice. I didn't taste the shrimp but they said they were good. The dirty rice was excellent, well seasoned, it's how it would be back home so it's different for some people. It's not like alot of places I've seen in Texas the usual visible white rice and ground meat mixed together with a sprinkle of parsley. That's not what you'll find here, lets just say it looks like something myself, my mom or Aunt makes when we have rice dressing (We don't call it dirty rice). The place is really small so if they're busy it gets a little crowded but I was never uncomfortable. Maybe they'll expand to the space next door one day 😊 Will definitely be back to visit. We didn't get dessert but the ones that were around us looked very good. Will definitely be back to try their other items, but this first visit was the best I've had in this...

This was the first time my husband and I have tried Flipper's Coastal Seafood. We alway look forward to trying new restaurants and we especially love to eat seafood. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. She explained the menu and said that all the seafood is fresh and that everything was made in house other than the french fries. I ordered a seafood combo with fried shrimp and fried catfish and my husband ordered the fried popcorn shrimp. The food arrived quickly and was hot and looked appetizing, but looks are deceiving. The shrimp were in no way shape or form fresh. They definitely tasted like they had freezer burn and the catfish was the worst catfish I have ever had. I left there with heartburn and a bad taste in my mouth the rest of the night. On a good note, the restaurant was very clean, the fries were delicious, and the service was fast and extremely friendly. My husband and I were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time. I was really looking forward to enjoying some fresh seafood but that's not happening at this restaurant. I do not think we...

I went with 8 others, that frequent flippers. This was my first. So I ordered a plate with a little of everything, 😁 The snow crab clusters were very good, also the shrimp, potatoes, corn, mushrooms, andouille sausage and crawfish. Boudin balls were also good. As far as the food goes I thought everything was very good, with an exception that the crawfish I felt were not select but they could have been a little bit upgraded and their size, due to the fact that it's not my first rodeo with crawfish but I definitely had to struggle to extract that wonderful little piece of meat that was up in that tail. It was a challenge, you could not just pinch the end of the tail break that loose and it pull out, you had to fight it quite a bit of the time but that's okay, once you got it, that little extra effort even made it taste better. You could tell they were a little short on staff, but that's really no different than most places are these days. But the ones that were there work their tails off to make up for the lack of extra help, so I commend...

I'm currently in the area while visiting some family in the hospital. We have been very occupied with what is going on there, so it was nice to get away for a quick lunch. I was craving crawfish, and so we decided to head to Flippers. We sat on the patio because the weather couldn't have been better. I ordered 3 pounds of crawfish with a side of andouille sausage and mushrooms. Everything was wiped out as it was awesome. Be sure and order the Cajun garlic butter (should be sold as a drink 🤣🤣🤣). We are looking forward to our next trip to Flippers. Hopefully it will be under better circumstances, but we will definitely be back!
