I typically go to the Webster location but I moved closer to this one recently so thought I would try it out. Came with my husband, mom, and 1.5yr old daughter on a Friday at 8pm - We sat at a booth and it was surprisingly not as busy as I had expected. However it took 15mins for a waiter to even come to the table. When he did, he didnt introduce himself he just asked what we wanted. We ordered and he had us repeat our orders twice. Our food took a while. We had already been there almost an hour before our food arrived. When it did show, my mom's food was incorrect and he admitted to putting in the order wrong. (Food allergy) We told him to just put it for to go. My daughter was becoming inpatient so my husband took her out to the car. My mom still had not received her food and told them to just cancel the order and we would just leave. I walked to the front register to pay and a waitress told another waitress that it seemed like we were walking out on our bill. Very insulting. I would never do that. Ive worked in the service industry and never tip less than 15%. They took her food off the tab but gave us the food anyway. My bill was $38 - I tipped the waiter $10 cash.
I will drive the extra 15mins to go to the webster...
Read moreOur service from the hostess & servers were probably the best thing all the way around. Our order was taken properly and promptly, as well as food coming out of the kitchen was fairly quick! The menu is quite overwhelming, the entire menu itself probably had 100-150 different recipes to choose from. However, our questions were not answered properly concerning allergies even when spoken in fluent Spanish. Having more than 8 years experience within the restaurant business I know for a fact ingredients are labeled on boxes, due to food & safety regulations required by state & federal laws, which we were told they were not listed. The tortilla chips were stale, as well as our flautas that were order as entrees. We asked for a Mexican burger no sour cream on the burger still ended up with sour cream, the ham was thicker than the patty itself. The atmosphere within the restaurant was hot & muggy, when your in Texas & you know it’s 97-100 degrees outside, it only makes since to kick up your air. Most likely won’t be going back and sticking to what and...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten at this restaurant for years. When we lived in the Clear Lake area we visited the original in the Kroger parking lot. We met Saul there. Saul and a few of the waitstaff decided to open a 2nd location closer to us, off fm517. Wonderful food, awesome waitstaff. His daughter is now a hostess and she always has a ready smile for everyone coming in. We know pretty much everyone by name. There was another waiter who remains in our thoughts and prayers. Everyone called him "El Pollo." Several years ago he lost his wife and two children in a devastating accident. It was heartbreaking. He left and moved back to Mexico to be closer to his family. We pray he is doing well. This is a family friendly restaurant. Emphasis on family. The waitstaff are attentive and are willing to comp an underwhelming meal. But, my family and I have never experienced that here. We have elsewhere.....Los Ramirez will alway remain a...
