Vintage Crown - Micheladas & Tacos — Restaurant in Dickinson

Update* 2/3/24 Now they serve breakfast!!! Ooooh…these burritos are something! They’re challengingly large. And made to perfection. Not a single ingredient is overlooked when it comes to the preparation. Eggs are fully cooked. Bacon is crispy! Potatoes soft and crispy. A little chorizo for some added pizzaz. And that flour tortilla is clearly an age old recipe, perfected by someone’s grandma. The whole thing tastes like something you’d make (perfectly) at home if you had list of time. Stop in and try them. I got the Jefe and it beat me. I couldn’t finish it. But it was awesome. Love this place!

Original post - Love this place! Excellent food! Outstanding selection of import beers and micheladas that are magical! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Fun and comfortable atmosphere! We were excited to find a place close to home that had such amazing street tacos. Because in my opinion the best food comes off a truck. They must have taken a taco truck and built a restaurant around it because these street tacos may be the best I’ve had. My wife ordered a torta and we split our dishes. The dishes tasted so…”fresh” and delicious! Made on the spot. We started with the “regular” micheladas since it was our first time here. Best I’ve ever had. The rim might have been a unique blend of spices. Not just your typical tajin but something more complex with some depth of flavor. I was Recommneded the dark modelo with mine and I’m glad I tried it. Two big slices of carne seca drizzled in hot sauce are plunged into the ample michelada. It was incredible stuff. And remember this is the regular. They have some that look like small banquets atop spicy, delicious awesomeness! The staff was incredible! Every single individual in the place was smiling and happy to help. A genuinely friendly bunch. They checked all the boxes. Great food, perfect service, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent location. We will be found here frequently!

Update 10/8/21 god, I love this place! The service alone would bring me back. The people (every last employee) are so friendly and helpful! You take a place and give great service with smiling faces and you have a winner. Add incredible food and this place will win ever single...

Went on a Friday night, we didn't expect fast service knowing it was a Friday night we knew it was going to be busy. BUT this was more then I think this restaurant could handle. It is a small spot to begin with then to make matters a little more difficult people who were waiting in line to order food had to wait for people to finish eating or drinking but some guest as soon as the walked in grabbed tables leaving some customers standing drinking and some even were served food still standing waiting for a table. Some even ate in the bed of their truck! Luckily it was just 2 of us and managed to snag a table for 2 against a wall. We ordered a torta, asda fries, ceviche and a michelada fishbowl. We were told it would be 45 minutes to and hour which we were fine with we knew it was Friday and busy. About 20 minutes into waiting my fiance got his torta, then 15 minutes later we got our fries, we then asked for salsa seeing as it wasn't on the table . The young man was running around and seemed to have forgot which was no biggie they were busy. So we asked again and then asked about our drink order as well 1 michelada fishbowl. He said he would go ask. Then we waited another 10 minutes we finally got salsa and then 5 minutes later our drink. And then shortly after our ceviche. It was really out.of order and they seemed to not have a very good flow of things. The food was mediocre, nothing I dont think I would run back to. The idea was neat but needs some work at this location. Maybe it was hyped up too much or short staffed but I won't...

I was enticed to check this place out due to their Tik Tock video that was circulating. My girls and I decided to check it out for dinner. I ordered the steak tacos and a 24 oz hurricane. I paid a little over $27 for this. I was okay with paying this because I was expecting an experience. I was taken back by how bitter the drink was. I asked a waitress to add some strawberry syrup to lighten the taste but unfortunately it did nothing. My friends drinks were just as bad . The tacos’ presentation was good but the flavor wasn’t there (I was expecting taco truck flavors) . The tortillas tasted stale and the steak looked like ground beef . They did have a good green sauce though. The atmosphere was fun and the music was great. For a “Hispanic restaurant” the flavors were just subpar. All this to say , I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend if you want to try their frozen drinks.

After posting this review I began to read other reviews and since I know the owner is reading and responding . I would like to point out that on the lower reviews the responses are a tad unprofessional. I understand criticism of your establishment can be harsh but as an owner you have to be the “bigger person” . Not everyone will love the food , drinks or this place in general and that’s okay. No need to get defensive, after all that’s the point of google reviews….. feedback from...
