Little Bite of Everything — Restaurant in Dickson

So first of all, let me say that the food here is delicious. I’ve ordered from here several times, and the food has always been consistent. However, the lack of either training or customer service skills in general is ridiculous. On this particular evening, when I was trying to spend an evening playing games with my sons, at the house, I ordered food to be delivered. I ordered right at 5 o’clock in the evening. The food arrived on time at 6 o’clock. However, it was missing an entire order. I called and whoever answered the phone basically said it was too bad so sad. I could come and get my food which is 25 minutes away, or he could give me some free and desserts. As if any of that, makes it better that they just left everything out. I find that the incompetence and lack of initiative in all customer service aspects is astounding nowadays. And I have done their job before. I have been a server, I’ve been a corporate trainer for restaurants, I’ve been a manager. It is ridiculous to me that this individual was so undertrained that he didn’t immediately get a manager when he realized how upset I was, and that there was absolutely no attempt to make it right. Even an apology would’ve been fine. But instead, all I received was that they had gotten lots of to go orders and oops our bad. I’m really super frustrated and disgusted by this interaction. But if you dare say anything, you are being insensitive, or just looking for something free. It is not the way that I have ever worked or taken pride in with customer service. And this is OK everywhere in the world that we live in. The food is good, but I won’t eat there anymore unless I am in downtown Dickson with nothing better to do. Update well since they want to lie what they do not realize is that it was all recorded and has been turned over also to door dash.... I will take pleasure not having to deal with the rudeness we got but again I do not have to prove anything because I have the recording and know that I will not have to wait on my customers order no more!!!!!! And I will let others know how you handle yourself and straight out lied. This is a public reveiw which I can post and looking at your reviews I am not the only person that says the same. was in there picking up a Door Dash not once but twice back to back. My husband went in both times. The first time the gentle man at the counter was very rude in telling my husband that the food was not ready yet. Had another one right after delivering that order. My husband went in to grab that one and was informed that the order was supposed to have been picked up 2 hrs prior to our arrival so they threw the food out which was great the problem I have is when I went in there to get the run down on what was going on and I asked to speak to the mgr and was explaining my issue and showing him that the order just came through to be picked up the same gentle man that was having the major malfunction was rudely interrupting as the mgr was trying to explain what was going on. Told me it would be another 20-25 min wait. All while I watched 3 door dashers come in grab their order and leave. I work in customer service too and when there is an issue I do not interrupt my mgr as he is trying to handle and address a situation. We kept hearing rave reviews about this restaurant from friends so we decided to try it on a Wednesday afternoon. It was after the noon hour so it was busy but not too terribly so. The menu features many burgers and chicken sandwiches along with Mac-n-Cheese but all with a different spin. It truly reflects their name… but there was nothing “little” about it!! It was hard to decide but we started with the best fried green tomatoes we’ve ever had. It was a healthy portion of six with separate servings of rémoulade and pimento cheese to accompany them. Fabulous! We got the Bet the Farm Burger and fries and the the Maple Bacon Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Potato fries. The burger featured bacon, fried egg, hash brown patty and the now famous pimento cheese. The chicken sandwich featured bacon and maple jam. Both meals were simply wonderful and served quickly and hot! We selected unsweetened tea (how un-southern of is) and it came in large mason jars and was refilled as needed. The service was awesome! Our waitress, Gabby, was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The portions were more than generous- ask for a take out box because you are going to get really full! We were totally delighted with our experience at Little Bite of Everything on South Main St. in Dickson TN.
