Yummy Halal (NY Street Food) Kabob & Birynani Palace — Restaurant in Suitland

I am so sorry, this is my first ever review I’ve made and it’s because this place is just so bad. I went yesterday with my brother and a friend to get some quick halal food to take back home. The man taking my order didn’t understand my request for “no salad” and after repeating it 5 times he finally understood. I waited for 30-40 min for my platter of rice, lamb, and chicken…. And of course salad? Okay whatever, I just wasted 30 min of my life waiting for halal which is insane, but atleast I got my food. When I got home, and took a bite I was so frustrated that it tasted so bad. I’ve never tasted halal food with no flavor at all. I of course asked for minimal white sauce, to taste my meat, but I realized they use white sauce to cover up that they have no flavor at this restaurant. Absolute disgrace of a restaurant, I wasted my time, paid for overpriced platter with no flavor, and terrible customer service that can’t even follow a simple order. Disgusting. Oh and one last thing, for the price that I paid, even if your food is disgusting the portion size that you gave me...

This place is quite the gem! They have a variety of food options on the menu including vegetarian options which I appreciate. The service is always pleasant and quick for the most part depending on which items you order. I have been missing the KFC honey bbq wings from when I was a kid and they have the closest thing to it that I can find. Their honey bbq is amazing ! I highly recommend. The fried fish burrito and bowl are also amongst my faves. My husband often gets the steak and cheese which he says is amazing and always filled with plenty of delicious beef. The only things I would improve about Yummy Halal is the price difference when you pay with a card vs cash. I don’t think that should be on the customer to pay. Also the price of the fish bowl seems to vary from the price listed on the menu. Both things just require a quick change from management. I can’t wait for...

So guys I can't imagine what I found on that menu it's very scary I went to get a menu and I found a cockroach in the rice so I literally couldn't take it anymore I went to that man and showed him the cockroach and he gave me my money back And I peeked into the kitchen and it's a huge mess. I'm really going to complain about this and go to consumer protection because this is not normal. Very bad of them. That fast food place is very dirty. Oh my God, I can't believe it.
