I Don't Care Family Restaurant and Sports Bar — Restaurant in Dodge City

Don't get me wrong; our server was lovely! Unfortunately for her, the service anchor of any bar & grill is the bartender. She clearly didn't give a toss what was happening anywhere but her bar. I base this on two things; we ordered two draft beers and a mixed drink. One beer and the cocktail arrived in a reasonable period of time, but our server had to make three trips back to the bar to request the other draft. There was jukebox music at a reasonable level, but there was also a TV playing rather loudly. As no one seemed to be paying attention to the TV, I asked our server if she could have the sound turned off. Of course, the bartender had the remote. It once more took two requests from our server to the bartender to accomplish this single, simple request. She may be a great bartender, but if she is going to work where she's also responsible for tables and the servers who care for them, she needs to get her head...

Definitely a dive, which is fine.

If the staff had been attentive at all, not giggly and messing around, I would give 5 stars. I was sitting facing the door and saw several people leave due to waiting and not being seated. At one point ALL of the staff disappeared and when they reappeared, the couple at the podium still had to wait several minutes before being noticed.

Food was quick and delicious, though. We ordered jalapeno poppers, which, while tasty, were hollow bites that had a slight flavor of jalapeno and cheddar. We chalked this up to supply issues but still found it odd. The ranch served with them was amazing though! We both ordered burgers and fries- very good! March 7,2024 We went to I Don’t Care Bar & Grill in Dodge City KS. As we entered everything looked great! Sign says seat yourself! We Picked a booth after it was cleaned! The Lady that cleaned the table brought us menus but didn’t take drink order because we figured she cleans tables.we waited 20 minutes of watching 4 waitresses walk around bring out food and giving bills to those other people! Two guys came in and sat down the waitress was right over there with menus and at same time ask for their drinks. All the time we sat there with no drinks or order taken.
