El Charro Restaurant — Restaurant in Dodge City

Ok here it goes We just ordered a bowl of queso which was fine. Salsa tasted off like old ingredients. We also ordered a Chimichanga $14 with grilled chicken inside and added shrimp to it for $3.50 more so we wait 45 minutes get our food and they put shrimp in it over cooked and with the tails on, the grilled chicken tasted old, really bad experience we had a bite of shrimp and a bite of chicken and said no way. So we told the cashier and she gave us a ticket for $37 we noticed we were charged 8.50 for the shrimp and $16 for the chimichanga plus the queso was $8 we said surely you don’t expect us to pay for bad food so clerk adjusted it to $31 I explained we didn’t eat it so anyway we ended up paying $13, Hope all her refunds will go through clerk kept crumbling up all the receipts and you could tell she didn’t want me to have them. She first said she will refund the whole thing and I said I’ll pay for the queso because we ate it. All I can say is check your receipt another customer was having the same issue. The trouble started as we walked in; the hostess was chatting with people who were picking up a to go order and ignoring us and the people in front of us. We finally get seated and wait to a waiter. One person brings chips and salsa, and after a long while another person takes our drink order. We order and get our food. The food was okay, but it was obvious it had been sitting awhile. Our drinks stood obviously empty while we watched our waiter run back and forth to other tables. We flagged down another waitress who said she would get him. Another ten minutes goes by before we see him and he asks if we needed something. I was so disgusted that I just asked for the check. Maybe regulars get treated better?
