La Rambla — Restaurant in Dorado

There's no way the 5star reviews are real!! We were the first to arrive and the hostess was very nice and polite, but that's as far as I would go. Slowly other people arrived, and we realized how neglected we were by the servers. The other tables were quickly given bread, the candle on their table quickly lit and ours was not. At one point 3 servers with helping a table with only one woman giving her champagne and talking with her while we sat and waited. Onto the food. App - "Grilled" squid was so watery and no evidence of ever touching a grill or pan. Definitely canned or boiled. The sauce was a pale unappealing yellow and plated small and drab. It was so bad we had to send it back and we said we didn't want more but the server Javier kept trying to put it on us, pretending to not have heard us. App- Octopus - Meh but better than the squid, but no sauce at all so just chewing through plain fishy tentacles. Dinner No options or vegetarians -Tenderloin, I told Javier 5 times rare but when he read back the order he said medium. Then it came out and was so thin that no matter how many times they tried to make it rare, it came out well done. It tasted like a steak you would find at Denny's. Chilis makes a better steak. The mushroom sauce tasted out of a can. Also the meat was pretreated/tenderized in a salty watery solution so there was no searing to it. The root portion was hard and awful flavor. Not sure which root it was or maybe mashed potatoes. Dessert They said it was like creme brûlée but came out looking like baby food was vomited onto a plate; HOWEVER the flavor was good but the texture was hard to swallow. Javier kept taking his mask on and off and on an off and even had it dangling from his ear a few times. We don't care if you wear or don't wear a mask, but make a choice and at a high end restaurant it shouldn't dangle from your ear.

Went for dinner last night. They were out of most items. We did order the only apps available. They were disgusting. The croquettes were microwaves, then fried, then covered in aoli. I want to say that today I had a wonderful experience in this restaurant. We were served by a very charismatic and charming girl with green eyes. She recommended a super exquisite lobster dish for two. She told us about Dorado's story and captivated us with her smile and the sparkle in her eyes.
