Orient House — Restaurant in Dorado

Absolute worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I believe it was based on our appearance . Our waiter was very condescending to the whole table. We were sat with a separate party that happened to have the same skin color. We were sat under a dripping air conditioner. When we brought it to the attention of our waiter he said, “it’s just water”. We should have left but there are not many food options at that time of night. We waited an hour before our soup and salad arrived. The chef took a long time to come to our table after we ordered. It was as if they didn’t want to serve us. The food was mediocre. The yum yum was rancid, the ginger sauce was barely that, not like a typical Asian place. We were not given chop sticks, or containers to hold soy sauce. Our waiter ignored us most of the evening. I asked to split my parties check and the waiter refused because he messed up the ticket for the party not associated with us. I asked to speak to the manager and the waiter said he wasn’t there but would tell them about our experience. I asked for the managers name to follow up, he refused to give it to me. If I could rate it a ZERO, I would. This place doesn't deserve customers, I watched the waiter turn people away, because he was to lazy to wait on them. We ask for a table, which was empty, the waiter said it would be 20 minutes. I asked if we go to the bar, he said no, but you can sit at the same table that he told us would be op 20 minutes before it was available, then took us 10 minutes to get a drink. Hibachi is even worse, We have to sit at the watch you said you cannot sit at about you but that'll reservation, yep we watch people sit at hibachi with four empty seats for 30 minutes without service, because the table wasn't falling the waiter wouldn't feel it. I'd go to Burger King before I'd go here, you'd get better service and I don't like Burger King. This place has the worse service of any restaurant I've ever...

Had a great new years eve dinner here at the Orient House across from the Embassy Suites! Very glad to have gotten reservations because we needed them for sure - the kitchen had a few staff that were not there due to holidays and the wait was a little longer than I would normally expect due to this.

That being said, I was very impressed with how efficient, timely and graciously taken care of by the staff for our hibachi meal! Our chef was absolutely phenomenal and made us all laugh the entire time he was preparing and cooking our food, and the family we dined with simply made our whole New Years trip and island adventure a perfect time! Highly recommend!
