Saturday 14th of August----- To the owner and/or manager of Chicken Kitchen: It is hard to find loyal and repeating customers like us these days. It is really sad to order food after a long day of work thinking we will get a top-notch service -considering one is not self-cooking but preferring to order from a vendor -- to find the food you are ordering is burnt so you ask yourself... is it worth ordering burnt food? Needless to mention, they did not send us the fork and the knife, so they are guessing we are living in the Stonehenge era (late Neolithic period about 2500 BC) when food was eaten with your hand or a piece of rock or something. Plus, the sadness that you are eating the chicken -because you are hungry, of course - and they don't even send you the guacamole you paid for, so yeah, it is plain burnt bread. What is this? You then decide to call the food vendor yourself... after three or five times in a row, a random employee picks up the phone and you tell her, "listen, we just ordered food via Uber Eats like we always do and the food was burnt and cold" and.... to your amazement, the employee says..."hey, mami, yes, I know, but the chicken was not burnt, it was JUST THE SKIN", so I leave it up to the owner or manager whom I guess are well-aware of Gastronomy's best practices to decide whether this is what you call an appropriate presentation of a dish you are paying a lot for. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THE IMAGE ATTACHED HEREWITH AND LET US KNOW IF YOU, THE OWNER, YOURSELF, WOULD EAT A BURNT CHICKEN AFTER A LONG BUSY DAY???? And your employee also, by the way, telling us, again, "hey, mami (as if she knew me), you can call Uber Eats and cancel the service... It is not clear to me, really, if it is legal to make a chargeback for something you actually received, but which ---- after the driver left -----when you opened the package, you learnt was burnt. How does an honest person go about this????? Is it that we now have to start opening packages like we do with UPS to make sure...
Read moreI have never written a negative review in the past, but this time I just had to. I went to this place several for the convenience of being right next to my house.
First of all the bad experience starts right from the beginning you walk in that door. Where grumpy employees greet you with an angry face. Second, the menu is not clear enough. There is the “original” bowl which is just yellow rice and chicken. If you want to add basic ingredients such as lettuce or tomates, you have to pay additional for EACH basic topping (im not talking about guac, im talking about things like lettuce).
Then, I told them i wanted the original bowl but with brown rice instead. They charged me an extra $4 just for switching the rice!. Making a boring plain brown rice with chicken plate $12 dollars. If you are into healthy eating, there are plenty of other options around Doral, including Pollo Tropical where a full chicken plate with rice and beans is only $7. Chipotle is always a good option as well. Even La Granja doesn't...
Read moreHad a very good experience here! Considering its "Your Healthy Fast Food" and as such a fast food restaurant, it was still nonetheless a very nice restaurant considering. Being in the hospitality industry myself as a Wedding and Event DJ, I pay even more attention to friendly, helpful service like I got from Bridget and Claudia. Thank you! Much appreciated. Only thing I feel could've been better was the food temperature, but the portion size is a great value given the affordable prices. Also, there was no background music playing which would've added to the experience (maybe there was an issue with the music system this visit?). Still, without question, one of the best fast food franchises around if eating healthy is important to you, and this was a cool, conveniently centrally located store. It's next to Publix and other stores in this nice strip mall....
