DOMOISHI — Restaurant in Doral

We were doing some shopping nearby and looking for a quick but tasty Asian dinner spot. Luckily, we found ourselves here and it hit all the right feels! Not being able to decide between the popular meal options, we decided to all try something different. We ordered the Poke Bowl with the spicy tuna and salmon, the Hawaiian BBW Short ribs and chicken mix, and the Tonkatsu Pork Belly Ramen. We ordered the Takoyaki as a starter as well. Everything was pretty great and service was EXCELLENT! The food was hot and fresh and promptly delivered. Flavors are good and portions are great. After our meal we tried their bubble tea. The tapioca was the right chewy texture and the flavors were refreshing. It was a very satisfying visit and although the place is small, it was neat and clean. I got the chicken katsu with fried rice. I also got a side of bbq shrimp just to try.

My brother got the Hawaiian orange chicken with brown rice.

Both meals came with a side of a mac n cheese salad. You also have the option to change it with white rice, brown rice or fried rice.

The chicken katsu tasted homemade, like something my mom used to make! The food was so good and filling. I wish they had a spicy chicken katsu option, that would taste really good with the cabbage.

The people behind the counter was super sweet and we even had a conversation how my brother and I have been waiting for this place to open up.

Tried the Island Dish with short rib and chicken katsu and… I am not exaggerating when I say it changed my life. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that perfect smoky-sweet glaze, and the chicken katsu? Crispy, juicy, golden perfection. The rice was fluffy, the sauce had the right kick, and everything was plated beautifully.

I came in with high expectations and Domoishi exceeded every one of them. Super clean interior, friendly staff, and surprisingly quick service considering how fresh everything tasted. If you’re craving something hearty, flavorful, and satisfying — this is it.
