Uptown Buffet — Restaurant in Doral

First time me,my wife and our 10 months daughter went to this restaurant was because we just had visited Buy buy baby for some needed things and we were starving since we spent way to long time in the store looking at all the nice items you need and also don't, but you want. If you're a first time parent you understand, you just want to buy so,so much stuff for your loved one and time sometimes fly. So after our visit that took way longer that planned we really needed a good meal. We have been to both Outback and Olive garden several times at this mall and they are great but I was in the mood for Asian food. Hmm,here is a place called Uptown very close to Buy buy baby,let me check their reviews... 4,2 out of 1100 reviews,well this is worth a visit. So we came in to an ordinary Asian buffet all you can eat that everyone probably visited before. The staff very accommodating and friendly even that the place was extremely busy. Wondering around all the common Asian food being served at these buffets we started to fill our plates with this goodies. The food in the buffet was ok,nothing to brag about, just what you would expect from a asian buffet. But their Hibachi grill station was so very good. Ok,you have to pick your raw food and wait for it to be cooked over a hot plate(3-4 portions at a time)and the wait time sometimes is long depending of your time of visit. But really? The food you get from the Hibachi station is really worth the wait if you looking at the price you pay. We paid 24 dollars for 2 people with sodas as well. So this is the reason I give this place a 4 star review. The only advice I will give the management of this place is to increase their Hibachi station so they can accommodate 6-8 people at the time, then I will be so very happy to give you a 5 star review. Food wise this was the best buffet I have ever gone to service I would rate it a zero. We visited 3/17/24 after we decided to stay in the city a few days after taking a cruise. My issue was our waitress while there she cleared one set of plates she did not refill our beverages until I flagged her down. They were busy at this hour but as a buffet the only requirement is clearing plates and refilling drinks typically. After we were done it was quite some time before she stopped to give us our ticket. After the receipt was signed she looked at it and told us that rate doesn't Include a tip we told her we was aware then she proceeded to explain again as if we did not understand. Then I decided to explain why I didn't feel she deserved a tip inturn she said we can't give her a 10.00 tip. I'm sure this young lady was in her twenties but I'm in my forties I'm not in the habit of having to explain what I do with my money and the sheer audacity of questioning me as a customer is appalling. Just halfway doing your job is not deserving of a tip. We have been tipping pretty well the duration of the cruise we took and all the other meals we have had In the city this young lady is the the one server we have encountered that did not get tipped so are we the issue or was she. I hardly make reviews, but I would NOT recommend to anyone! Severely undercooked food, our fried shrimp was RAW, our cheese wontons were UNDERCOOKED they trying to poison people, either the cook was not paying attention and needs to get fired or they need to be shut down, and on top of that WE GOT CHARGED $70 FOR POISONOUS UNDERCOOKED FOOD, I had 1 small plate of salad and got CHARGED FOR A FULL BUFFET MEAL, RIDICULOUS! YALL NEED TO SHUT DOWN, IM GOING TO HAVE A TALK WITH THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO GET THIS SH!THOLE SHUT DOWN! And 2. Y'all did not have handicapped parking, a person in our group is a handicapped veteran. 3. Their place of business was dirty, floors were not mopped, food spread out on buffet, I have a severe allergy to mushrooms and mushrooms were in the wrong bin AND on the counter, table was NOT wiped down, even though there's a sign on the table stating that every table is sanitized and washed for "customer satisfaction", chairs were dirty, very unpleasant and unprofessional, I saw the kitchen from the hole the cooks use to give food to the servers to put on buffet, it was dirty, looks like the back hasn't been cleaned in months, MAYBE even years, regardless it was very disgusting

EDIT: Now the person who is handicapped in our group is throwing up because of the severely undercooked food!! Call humane services and get this...
