Horrible, atrocious experience this morning. I arrived at 6:32am and didn't leave until 6:55am. I was the second in line. I was ignored for almost 20 minutes. I was as patient as I could be but after no one saying a word and one of the attendants clearly not being occupied with customers, writing something at the register, I asked her politely if she could help me. She said, I'll be with you in a moment, rudely, then turned her back to me. She never assisted me, eventually one of the other occupied ladies attended to me. Once she was done giving me my order, I had to ask her for my change. I am a great tipper, I love to over reward people working in the business, I understand how hard it is to do this kind of work however, with such horrible service, not even an apology for the wait and assuming the tip, yes, I did ask her to give me my change, which I should not have to anyway. Karla Bakery employees infuriated me. Not one of them apologized to me, in fact were extremely rude and they assume tips, which is unprofessional and a Miami thing. I am Latino so they are my people but it's just wrong. I hate posting negative reviews, I understand how damaging it is and that owners can't control every small situation that occurs, however, this was a blatant and clear disregard for customers who will choose to go to many of the other many fantastic bakeries we have in Miami that appreciate a customer's money. Read moreI go here all the time and even though they take very long, the food is usually good. I ordered a #5 and the lady says “ I can’t give a #5 right now” so I go to her “ I can’t wait”? She said yeah but it’s going to take forever. I told her that’s fine. Then I ask for a colada instead of the cafe con leche that it comes with like they always do for me, & she says she can’t do that. Even though the colada cost less then the cafe con leche in the menu. She asked me to tell her who has done that so she can correct them. I’m not going to throw anyone under the bus. The right thing would’ve been to give me the colada and tell me that moving forward we can’t do that. Point is I ended up walking out without ordering anything and going to anothekr bakery. This place is terrible. If I could give zero stars I would. I asked for a steak sandwich and this is what I get. I asked for a refund and they denied my refund. I asked to speak to a manager and there was no manager. How does a public business have no manager? That should be illegal. Sad and embarrassing how a standard business have no basic morals and standards for their customers. All the ladies who work there are very rude.
