We came to this restaurant as several people had recommended it, however, the experience was disappointing. The server who attended our table was not very focused on her job. Several times, items had to be asked for such as limes, silverware, napkins, etc. due to her forgetting. She also would pick up items off the table without asking if we were done, but then wouldn't pick up empty cups and plates from the table! Our appetizer was ordered, which was the chicharrons, but they came out at the end of our meal with a lot of fat and the skin was not crispy. The bread that came with it tasted like it wasn't cooked entirely. I'm not sure if this is the style of the cuisine, and if so, it's not very good. The fried snapper was adequate, but nothing exceptional. Also, our orders were mixed up and some people in our party didn't get what they ordered. When we told the server, she just shrugged it off as if we were mistaken with our order and no attempt to fix the mistake was made. When we received our bill, there was no mention of gratuity or tip, and when inquired, we were told that it was automatically added, but there's no amount on our receipt as to how much was added automatically! I don't have an issue with automatic gratuity, but I'd like to know what the final charge on my bill is going to be. I enjoy trying new places, especially smaller, non-franchised establishments, but this is a place that I won't be returning to. The decor is outdated, the restaurant looks messy, the food was subpar, and the service was short of terrible. I know others have had a good experience here, and maybe my experience wasn't the normal due to it being Father's Day, but it's during times like this that you want to shine and show your best,...
Read moreI had a horrible experience at this restaurant. To start, they don't provide complimentary water, and when we asked for it, we were told we had to purchase a bottle. This was surprising, as even the smallest restaurants usually offer water for free. The waitress failed to bring us napkins despite our request, and our orders were incorrect when they finally arrived. The menu was heavily focused on snapper dishes, but the quality was far from acceptable. We ordered chicharrones as an appetizer, but they arrived at the end of the meal and were undercooked, consisting mostly of fat that needed to be cooked further.
When it came time to pay, we were given a receipt from a portable machine that did not show the tip amount. The person collecting the bill, who identified himself as the owner, informed us that a 15% tip was included only after we asked. This information was never indicated on the receipt, which felt deceptive. We ended up leaving an additional tip, not knowing the first one was already included. This lack of transparency shows a complete lack of integrity towards the customer. Avoid this place if possible. They will make you pay a double tip. It's not about the money, but the lack of gratitude towards the customers.
To add to the poor experience, the snapper I ordered looked more like a chicken breast than fish. Overall, the food quality was subpar, and the entire experience was a disappointment, especially on...
Read moreI was having my manicure done at an establishment in Doral, I always go there every two weeks and the owners always get the empanadas from this Restaurant. I always get the carne desmechada, today I got the empanada cazon that has fish. The moment I took a bite I went straight to the bathroom to throw up. The smell was so strong that I couldn’t contain myself. That’s not the worst part of the story, The owner of the establishment where I was having the service done call the owner of Los Roques to give him my complaint After he smelled the empanadas And understood why I reacted the way I reacted. You could smell how rancid the fish was. The owner of Los roque blamed me of having the flu or being sick and that’s why I reacted the way I reacted, and he also told the owner of the establishment where I was that he’s always giving issues, saying that he’s always giving different types of complaints, even though he asked to speak to the owner of the restaurant as a friend to tell him to take out the fish empanadas so nobody else would get sick. The owner of the restaurant got so offended, even though his friend was literally trying to help him out. To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody specially after the type of way the owner reacted I am so disappointed, even though their other empanada was...
