Planet Smoothie — Restaurant in Doral

I typically don't enjoy smoothie shops. I will pass by them all the time, but as I left the nearby CrossFit box and didn't have my signature recovery drink available, I stopped by this little shop and was happy I did. Again, not a fan of these shops because of the poor customer service or management that stems from inexperienced young personnel. However, the young lady behind the counter was beyond sweet and helpful. I was already out of breath and really needing something in my system and as I asked various questions about how much protein and the tastes of certain blends were, I was met with only smiles and a cheerful demeanor behind all of her answers. I also enjoyed the little snacks they had available, including these wonderful protein cookies that can be hard to come by. I left not only with a delicious smoothie but a few other things to help me going for the rest of the day. I can't vouch for everybody's experience that will pass through here but I'd be happy to give this place another go and hopefully come across the same person. If one staff member shows that much dedication to her job? It speaks volumes on how the business overall chooses...

My boyfriend bought me an açai bowl yesterday & it was by far one of the best ones i've tried in Doral & for a good price! I stopped by today to get one & i received something COMPLETELY different. There was only 1 employee working there & looked like she really didn't even know what she was doing. She made me an açai bowl that tasted like ice with food coloring. Açai is supposed to have a thick, smooth, ice cream like consistency & i found a giant block of ice at the bottom. I asked the lady to make me a new one & the second one was a bit thicker but still tasted like water. I find it greatly irresponsible of whoever is running this shop to have this kind of inconsistency in the foods they sell. Although i loved the one i ate the first time, i definitely won't be returning/recommending this place to anyone i know. The friend that came with me also had the same result. Ridiculous, don't...

A little disappointed. I used to come here all the time. I came in tonight April 1st at 7:30pm and asked a question in English - I asked if they had barebell protein bars. The two ladies working there didn’t seem to understand me and said “ay no entiendo lo que dice esta gringa jajaja” and immediately I replied to them in Spanish and they looked surprised and asked “hablas español?” I mean, obviously I do.

I know doral is predominantly Hispanic, but you should be able to serve customers in both languages. If you can’t speak English, which is totally okay, at least treat customers kindly. I can’t imagine how they treat customers who actually don’t...
