I came in on my mom’s birthday with my family to order their “Concha y Cafe Gigante” but our plans completely diverted. To give them the benefit of the doubt, the people working didn’t probably expect a lot of people to come in. But it’s a problem when I was sat down and saw two full tables of 5-6 leave completely without ever having a waiter come to their table even though they had to come to ours. Another red flag was the fact that another table had finished their meals, but they actually didn’t. Their table still had a considerable amount of food on the plates which was concerning. After we had placed our orders we waited. But the wait was almost an hour and a half long! During that time, we saw other people waiting about the same time waiting for their food. The employees also kept coming up to us asking us for reassurance on our orders, a total of 3 times making each family member tell them their orders again. They gave their apologies and even gave us a free plate of pastries which was nice of them. But that was offset by everything else. Once our food did come, it came very far apart. Half the family was able to finish their meals before the others got theirs. They also mixed up my sisters and my plate saying her plate was supposed to be a wrap, completely lying to her face, she had gotten my order and I had gotten hers. And to add to that, they went up to each table with a wrong plate nobody had. My dad had his ordered messed up as well, he had ordered a “Tortas de Chillaquilles” and asked for it to have salsa roja and for it to be spicy, he got the opposite of everything he had asked for. Salsa verde and non-spicy, there was no point to let them know either because we had already waited an eternity for our food, he also added it wasn’t’ good. My mom’s plate was unappetizing looking and mediocre at best. All around mediocre for most of us. Except for my Chicken Avocado wrap, it was actually really good. In the end, we ended up canceling what we even came here for; the “Concha y Cafe Gigante.” They kept apologizing which was all well. But what wasn’t well was the fact that when they were apologizing, they were overly praising their own food saying it’s great over and over again. They gave us a 10% discount for our troubles but everything had already happened and left a bad taste in our mouths, on my mother’s...
Read moreAs the owner of a marketing and PR agency, I often explore local spots to work remotely and support small businesses. Today, I chose this cafe and bakery with the intention of enjoying a drink and snack while getting work done. Unfortunately, what should have been a peaceful afternoon turned into an appalling experience.
Upon arrival, I was refused service not once, but by two separate staff members — solely because I had my service dog with me. I calmly informed them that she is a trained and certified service animal. I even presented her service ID, including the clearly stated legal requirement that service animals must be granted access under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). Still, they refused.
To make matters worse, their online listings indicate they are a pet-friendly establishment — which means they supposedly welcome animals even without the legal requirement that protects those of us who rely on service animals.
I’ve had my service dog for over three years. She spent over a year in formal training and has never once been denied access — until today. The level of ignorance and lack of basic training displayed by this staff is deeply concerning and discriminatory.

Read moreThe food is phenomenal! The pan de muerto it’s sooo soft and delicious but it would be PERFECT if they added azahar escence and Orange peel like the traditional one! It would be to die for! I had the 3 leches torta de chilaquiles! Soooo so good! Very spicy in the best way! The only thing I have a negative comment to say is the waitress. We could tell she was not well trained to know how to treat costumers or take an order efficiently. When I asked her about which salsa is best for chilaquiles she ignored my question and mentioned she has green and red salsa and I proceeded to ask again which one was more popular and she answered both are but with an attitude, I clarified I just wanted to know which ones the most popular one and she said well both are. She made a mistake and we waited half an hour for a crepe when she said it was 15 minutes and she only brought one when we ordered 2. It was not pleasant. I know mistakes happen but she needs to fix the attitude because it’s a great place to eat! I did not get the waitress name but she was venezolan if I’m not wrong. I wish I...
