I usually frequent this Waffle House but tonight I received horrible service. I made a simple call in order, usually when people make call in order that means they want the order to be done when they arrive at the quoted amount of time. I arrive to this location and there is one family of four sitting in the restaurant. After I pay I hear the gentleman that took my order over the phone start to call out what I order and the cook start to make it. I then ask you f they were just starting my order and he nonchalantly says “ yes I told you that over the phone, we get to many callins so we don’t make them until y’all come in.” Which was baffling to me. My cousin also made a completely different order, that she also called in and wasn’t started until after she paid. She is a mother of four and she ordered two sandwiches. She specifically asked for her order to be cooked a certain way over the phone and also again after she paid and we waited in store for a call-in order. Just like any other Waffle House you can see your food being prepared, even after she asked the cook to cook the food a certain way, he had an attitude and didn’t do what she asked. Which resulted in us waiting for our food even longer. The “specific thing” she was asking for was for the onions to be cooked well so that her child would eat them, which she said numerous times. Never once did those onions touch the grill, when she said something he then had an attitude and cooked some onions and then put the on top of the raw onions? After her saying something numerous times and multiple employees getting involved a gentleman by the name of Clinton was finally able to step in and takeover. He was pretty much the only helpful person. This occurred on July 14th at about 12:20 am. The service was so horrible I didn’t bother asking anyone their name and Clinton was the only one wearing a name tag. I have called corporate but unfortunately they are closed at this time but I do have my receipt and I will be calling again in...
Read moreThis was my go to spot before I head to my school bus for the day. Always count on them being open and ready for service. I had a trip on Saturday and said I would stop by my go to spot for breakfast. I went in and waited for a table. Never was asked how many with me. The guy took his time cleaning the table. Often glancing at me while washing the dishes. I waited patiently. No one from the early morning weekdays was on duty. I normally stop by between 4:00am-6:00am through the week. No one was waiting after me. When he finally stopped doing the dishes and finished clearing table and cleaned the table he called for me to sit. Placed menus on table and walked off. A group came in and waited. He then comes over and tells me this booth I’m in is reserved for two or more customers on Saturdays. It shocked me because I waited about 10 minutes to get into the booth. Why wait until I’m seated to tell me?! When I walked in I should have been greeted and asked how many. At that time it should have been told to me. I would have sat at the tables upfront by register. The group told them to leave me there because they had just come in after he asked me to sit. It hurt and disappointed me because this was my favorite spot. I told them I would leave. The lady asked me to stay. What hurt is that they waited for me to be seated to tell me this! So it showed me that my money and me as an individual was not valued at this place. So now I won’t be doing business with...
Read moreThey greeted me at the door.
I went to a couple weeks, maybe about a month ago, but it was so unusual that I haven’t stopped thinking about it since, so I decided to write a review.
There isn’t much to type. Lol I spent most of the time feeling like I was being punked; maybe I’d stumbled into some alternate Waffle House dimension. I texted my wife the entire time, just in case this was a set up.
From the start the gentleman opened the door and welcomed me in. Then the lady behind the counter…smiled. Beautiful young black girl. I don’t even remember what she said; could have cursed me to my face at this point. There were an okay number of customers so it wasn’t like I was the only customer. The cooking staff were organized. They weren’t yelling across the floor, and yet they seemed to still be able to communicate somehow…telepathy?
The worst part was I didn’t even have time to dissect the operation because the food was already done.
I just knew I was going to be there all day. I skipped church and everything.
I paid the young lady at the cash register. I turned to walk away. I went towards the door. …it was already open.
Have a nice day… I haven’t been back because I just moved away from the area, But I’d like someone to try this place and let me know if it was a fluke.
It was delightful as an experience, but it was WEIRD for a...
