Went with some friends to try it out and came away thinking that it's just an average place. There is paid parking behind the building and some small lots across the street, but parking is an issue. Their entrance is on the corner and the first thing you come across is the bar with the dining area to the right. The space is utilitarian.
While we waited for everyone to arrive, we got some drinks and watched the fight channel on the one large tv that dominated the room. Strange choice.
After we were seated, we had to wait fo the one waitress on duty to get to us. While the room was not full, it was definitely taking a long time and we had our orders completetly ready to go when she showed up. However, she only wanted to take drink orders! We just came from the bar!! One of us asked for a drink refill and off she went.
She brought the one drink and ran off to another table.
Five minutes later she came back with water glasses - two at a time! - but was still not willing to take our order and ran off again to deliver food to a different table.
Finally she took our appetizer order and we also forced her to take our dinner order at the same time, although she clearly was uncomfortable with this.
The food arrived reasonably quickly after that. Although, it was delivered only by her, and only two dishes at a time, even though there were two other employees hanging around. Taste wise, the food was ok. Not bad, not geeat. Just in the middle of the scale,...
Read moreThis was my first dine in experience since COVID, as well as my service dog's first sit down inside restaurant - AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! =)
The place is beautifully decorated. Your eyes can feast as you wait for your food. Also the bathroom was pristine and has a lovely cushioned changing table.
The food itself is delicious! I got a sampler of satoy (hope that's right?) chicken, steamed dumplings, and spring rolls; along with a red curry chicken spice level 5 (highest). The spring rolls were the best I have ever had in my life ! Each item had their own dipping sauces and were paired perfectly. And the red curry chicken was spicy + yummy as promised 😎👉
The absolute best part though was the incredibly kind and accommodating staff. They did not bat an eye at my service dog. 🐶 I was with my mother and daughter as well, and we were all tended to with equal care and quality. We didn't even need to ask for refills as it was already done once our glasses were low. And other staff were quick to help out - even though they weren't our main server. Social distancing and masks were still being enforced, too.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough - if you are craving Thai and a good time, My Thai is...
Read moreDespite living so close to this place for a couple of years, I somehow wasn’t motivated to try it out until yesterday when my mom was craving Thai at 9pm. This seemed open at that hour and we walked in. It really is a lot nicer inside than it seems from the outside. We were promptly seated and ordered their vegetarian appetizer sampler to start with the papaya salad. Both were pretty good. The eggplant crisps are definitely recommended. Their menu is full of vegetarian options and nearly all their dishes can be made vegetarian! Yay! We ordered the green curry with vegetables for our main course and the Thai-basil fried rice. Their serving sizes are quite large and we ended up taking a lot of food home. I did think that a lot of their sauces, dips and even the curry tended towards the sweeter side..tasty though. I’m not sure if that was because we emphasized “no spicy at all” or if that’s how it is. I’m definitely going back and checking out more items on their menu. Curry fried rice for one caught my eye! Also, don’t miss their lemon ginger tea. It was the most soothing end to a great hearty meal on...
