I havent been to this location since way back when it was Tom's Diner, but wow, I've been missing a great breakfast spot!
The interior is very rustic but clean, with really cool wooden chairs and tables.
Service was awesome. Our server came exactly the right amount of times, offered us sides/fixins, and made sure our food was delicious (indeed it was).
I tried the Sparkie's (kielbasa and sauerkraut) omelette because it sounded unique and it did not disappoint. The eggs were nice and fluffy and it was a great combination with the thousand island dressing drizzled on top. Hash browns were crunchy on top, soft underneath, and the toast was an excellent large size bread.
Highly recommend you check this place out!
They have cocktails too, although I did not partake since I was there for a lunch meeting. I'll have to come back for...
Read moreGot outside the city and tried to find a local place for breakfast. This popped up so we figured we'd try it. Our server was ok. Food was really good. Asked for eggs over medium and they weren't overcooked. The rye toast was excellent. Pancakes had bananas in them didn't even know that or if it was a mistake. The Breakfast bowl/scrambler was a little dry could use some gravy. There was a man with a beard bussing tables and sitting people. He was great. Even asked how our food was and where we came from. We were in town from Erie. Really glad Google sent us here. Wait times were around 15 minutes when we got there around 9am. When we left there was even more people waiting outside. Pretty small place with limited seating inside. I would suggest giving the place a try it was...
Read moreThis new restaurant in Dormont is a must-try! Free parking in the back is a huge plus. The menu is extensive with lots of unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Regina! They have a fantastic cocktail menu and everything you need to accompany your meal is already on the table. Food comes out fast, and the rustic atmosphere is cozy.
I went on a weekday and it wasn't crowded at all, though I can't speak for the weekends.
I had the Hunger Buster (3 eggs, toast, hashbrowns/home fries, 2 pancakes, and your choice of meat) and it was delicious! My only suggestion would be to order the home fries over the hashbrowns, which were a bit overdone for my liking.
Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu with my family...
