UPDATE 10/01/24 We dined in the restaurant last night. It was my current boyfriend's first time trying them. First of all, I REALLY hate what they did with the interior. It's not even like an Irish pub any more and the new (to me) paint and lighting looks cheap compared to what they used to have. The lighting is wayyy too bright and uncomfortable for a restaurant, let alone a bar. The TV next to the bar needs to be replaced as it has lines running through the picture. We were not greeted by any staff whatsoever when we walked in, no one even looked our direction. There were only about 4 occupied tables there, the bar was empty, and one table was finished eating and just sitting there talking, so they were NOT too busy to glance our way any say, "Hey guys! Just seat yourselves!"... but they didn't do that, and it took about four minutes of us standing awkwardly under those spotlights for us to look down at the tiny sign that says to seat yourself. The seating definitely seems to be reduced from the last time I dined in there, but since they weren't busy we found a spot and sat. I know my server's name, but I don't want to embarrass her, so I will just tell you that she was kind, and she's been working there 23 years. With that much experience, she should know that she should not be wearing her long hair down and serving food, she should not have repeatedly applied her perfume every time she went to the back. It went from a light clean scent to smelling like a dirty diaper. Maybe she had an accident and was trying to cover it up, I don't know, but it was overwhelming and nauseating. She ended up standing and talking to the guy seated next to us for over 20 minutes, without even taking any kind of order for him or bringing him anything. Another server ended up bringing our appetizers, salad, and entrées out all at the same time. I really hate when places do that. Everything was cold, and his burger was cooked super well done when he had asked for medium. He didn't want to send it back though because it took so long to come out in the first place. I did have to ask her to please just pop mine in the microwave because the cheese on the Dubliner had solidified to the meat and was very difficult to eat and not good cold. She did have them remake his cold fries, but by time they came back out, he had finished his burger and when he ate a couple he said they tasted of dirty fry oil. She overflowed my cup of sweet tea on the table when she went to refill it... by a lot. She didn't even apologize or try to wipe it up, so we soaked it up with a bunch of napkins. Even with all this going on, we stayed friendly with her, so I know it wasn't intentional. I just really don't understand how you get such bad service from someone with that much experience. She said the owners love her, so maybe it was just a super off night for her and the kitchen. I was pleased that they have the Dubliner again, the fried pickles, ranch, salad, and sweet tea were all great, but those positives did not make up for the overwhelmingly overall negative experience. As I said in my previous review, my family used to love this place when I was growing up. and we were weekly regulars, but I really don't see us going back again. It was his first and last time, and for me I'm just very disappointed that one of my favorite places is now so awful.
ORIGINAL REVIEW I usually love this place, but it has gone downhill. They were out of fried mushrooms and have done away with the Dubliner so I ordered fried pickles and fried shrimp. The pickles were so salty they burned my mouth and the breading on the shrimp was just nasty period. I had to peel it off and just eat the shrimp themselves and all the curly fries were cold, soggy, limp and inedible. So we got to pay over $50 to still be hungry because the only thing anyone could eat was 10 tiny...
Read moreThis place was hands down the worst service I have ever had in my 49 years of life. My wife and son and I went to this Beef O'Brady's last night for the first time. We came in the door and there was no host to seat us. There was a waiter and waitress working but no one told us to seat ourselves. After a few awkward moments standing there wondering if we seat ourselves, I finally decided we would just sit where we wanted. So we found a booth and sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. At this point, the waiter and waitresses had passed by us multiple times and never made eye contact or acknowledged our existence in any way. After 5 minutes I asked my wife and son, "Are we invisible or something?". After 5 minutes or so I caught a waitress and asked her if someone might please wait on us. The girl who eventually waited on us passed by us to take care of the other tables not even speaking to us. After she finally gave us menus and took our drink order it seemed like things might be ok after all. We placed our order and we're very clear what we wanted. When the meal arrived, my son and my own order were correct, but my wife's order was a totally different dish than she had ordered. My wife immediately and politely told the waitress that the dish she brought was not at all what she ordered. The waitress then argued with my wife repeatedly until I told her to just get a menu and double check. My son and I both knew exactly what my wife said she wanted. She left and came back with a menu and the cook. He then argued that my wife ordered a different dish saying that she pointed at a picture. Of course, my son and I assured the cook that she called out and pointed to the actual dish she ordered. I have never seen anything like this before. Where the waitress gets in a heated argument with the guest over what she ordered and brings the cook out who was not even present when she ordered to argue some more. He appeared angry as well. On top of all this, the waitress was extremely inattentive and never bothered asking if we needed drinks or anything, I had to flag her down. She only had 3 tables. The food was sub par for what we paid. We will never go back and strongly recommend others to avoid them...
Read moreWent for weekday lunch. Had Obrady burger and fries. Guest had umm Poblano Chicken Bowl... I think. Food wasn't bad but not outstanding. Burg was kinda small for a $10 burger. Especially when you gotta add $2 just to get fries. Came out quickly. Server was polite enough but definitely not very professional. Basically just buffet style of service. No suggestions for apps deserts or specials were given. So we didn't get any... Then she presented the check before we were even half finished with the entrees. She kept the drinks full but never bothered to prebuss the table as we finished. She was sitting down eating and scrolling on her phone beore we even finished. Keep in mind this is only 12:45 in the afternoon. Worst part was after the meal. Went to the restroom and it was filthy. I mean i-85 truckstop filthy!!! My guest said the ladies room was the same. Grossss!!! If they let them get that bad by12:30 lunch...where the customers can see, l hate to think how the kitchen must look. Ohh yeah and right before we left we saw a roach on the dining room floor drinking spilled tea our server spilled at the foot of our table and never bothered to wipe up. Got a feeling the place is dirty dirty dirty! Doubt I'll...
