on May 5, 2025 at 3:56 PM I went to Kay’s jewelry and bought my wife a pair of diamond earrings for our first anniversary. The lady that was helping us proceeded to tell me about a lifetime protection plan and that if my wife lost an earring that it would cover the loss of one earring only one time so I purchased the protection plan unfortunately my Wife lost her earring on our son’s birthday a couple days ago. I called to speak with the manager at Kay’s about the insurance and was told that it was a lie. The lady did not tell me that that’s what it covered. So I proceeded to tell them please pull the camera footage and listen to what she said and I just got called back with the information that they don’t have camera footage and that’s The corporate office. so basically, they allow their employees to lie to customers to sell items or insurances and then not honor it and call the customer a liar. We have been a customer for over five years with them as of today I have cut up my Kay credit card, and I will no longer use kays. And a brand new one that I haven't even had a year sent off 5 different times!! Cracked stones, loose stones, bad brackets. It's really awful quality and awful customer service. They were pretty busy, busier than they normally are when I’m at the mall, so we decided to go visit another store since we knew we wouldn’t be helped for a while. We came back about 30 minutes later and there were 2 customers in the store. We sat down and waited for them to be helped first. We sat in the store for an HOUR and not ONE employee acknowledged us, told us they would be right with us, apologized, nor thanked us for waiting.
