I placed an order on the Pizza Hut app for contactless delivery and on delivery instructions to please place order on my car (color/make).
As the delivery time passed it still said out for delivery. A few minutes later my doorbell rang and it was a child from the next building over asking if I had ordered food because it was delivered to their Apt and they had not ordered anything. It appeared to have been opened.
I called the restaurant to report my food had been delivered to the incorrect address and that it had been brought to me by the neighbor from the next building over and appeared to have been opened. He was instantly rude and continued to be rude throughout the conversation. He told me that the delivery driver is a mailman (I’m not sure what that has to do with him delivering my food to the wrong address) and he was sure he delivered to right address. Discussed the fact that I left contactless delivery instructions and he told me the color showed but the make of my car was cut off of the receipt. AGAIN, not sure what that had to do with the driver looking and making sure he delivered my food to the correct address. I asked him to ask the driver if there was a certain color SUV where he delivered the food, he lied and said there was a ….color CAR (color of my car) which was a lie because I walked outside and there was the SUV. I asked him to ask the driver if there were Christmas lights still up at the building he delivered to and that’s when he had no choice but to admin he went to the wrong address because there are no lights on mine.
He also tried to make it seem like I was calling before the driver even got back (driver literally walked in as we were talking).. Not sure what that even had to do with anything because the app never showed my food as delivered and I never got a text update about delivery. THEN….he told me, well your food was delivered if you say the neighbor brought it to you. Just WOOOOOOOW!
Now this entire time I just wanted my food order done over and delivered because I didn’t want the food that was delivered to the wrong address. I was ready to send back the original order when the new one got here.
There was more that happened when he placed me on hold and then accused me hanging up because someone picked up like they were trying to take my order and I told them I had been on hold with the restaurant about an order issue and they transferred me back. But he did apologize for that.
I wasn’t even upset when I called because everyone makes mistakes. But the blatant, immediate rudeness defense mode, and lying was unnecessary and unacceptable. Why the delivery driver flat out lied and the manager (or whoever he was) was trying to uphold him in the lie instead of providing a minimum of DECENT customer service I will never understand.
This has me so upset tonight and I did not deserve to be treated...

I called and asked for delivery but before I place my order I specifically asked how long of a wait, I was told 30 minutes and the food would be to me. However they don’t deliver to my house they deliver to the Shell gas station close to my house. I kindly ask them to please call me when the driver leaves their store to head to the Shell so I’m not sitting there waiting forever. I proceeded to tell them that I have a house full of children and that I didn’t want to place an order if it was a long wait time or if I had to sit there waiting at shell for a while. She reassured me 30 minutes my food would be to me and they would call me when the driver was leaving the store and I would meet them at shell. I wait 45 minutes nobody calls me so I place a call to them and they say oh well the driver just left. OK little frustrated because nobody called me but no harm no foul I proceeded to walk up to the Shell which is very close. I wait there for about 20 minutes which Pizza Hut is in 8 1/2 minute drive to the Shell. Now it’s been over an hour since I placed my order when I was told food would be in my hand for my children in 30 minutes so I called up there asked directly for a manager. They say they’re getting a manager and the gentleman that came to the phone just says hello without a care in the world so unprofessional. I proceeded to tell him what is going on I’ve been waiting over an hour no one even called me no one has shown up I have a house full of kids that are hungry waiting on dinner. He says well the driver was gone for 27 minutes and just came back to the store and I’m like well it’s an 8 1/2 minute drive to me and nobody ever pulled up I’ve been sitting here the entire time and with my phone in my lap at that and nobody still had called me or showed up. Never once did he apologize give me a good reason why my food never got to me or why the driver just returned to the store he just simply said well I guess I can remake it and send it back out to you. I was like wow you guess you can remake it? At this point I’m furious because he was so unprofessional wouldn’t even apologize wouldn’t even give me any straight answers I’ve been waiting over an hour I’ve been sitting at a Shell gas station over 20 minutes and for what to wait an additional hour for a pizza that may or may not show up. Read moreI placed a large order. A total of 13 items totaling approximately $150. Upon entering Pizza Hut I was given the side eye by a white grey headed, older male employee by the name of Timothy. (I’m assuming due to the fact that I had biracial children with me). He finished his conversation with a co worker and then walked away before coming back to ask what I wanted. I advised I was there to pick up carry out order. He told me to move to the counter to check the items. Upon checking, it was discovered 2 pizzas were missing. I placed them in the car and advised him that it was a hand tossed beef and cheese. He told me he needed them brought back in. I brought them back and he got verbally aggressive raising his voice and said you didn’t have to bring them back, show me the receipt. He then walked over and muttered “how people always want s—- for free.” And then repeated my order incorrectly, once again, as a beef and a pepperoni . I said if you would’ve gotten the order right the first time, I wouldn’t be standing here. Again advising it was a cheese and a beef hand tossed pizzas. He then told me to leave and he would bring my food out. I told him no I would be waiting and then became physically and verbally more aggressive. I will be reporting this incident to the corporate office as his aggressive, disrespectful and nasty attitude should never be tolerated but a business serving customers. He should in no way shape or manner be in customer service. His racist acting, condescending tone having. aggressive manner should not be tolerated. And if he didn’t want to do the job why did he apply. You need to work with people of all backgrounds. A straight disgrace to gods green earth. He’s not worth the trees that provide him fresh oxygen.
