Unfortunately is was a horrible experience. The lady in the counter was wonderful, helpful ,and an asset to the store. Then it went downhill fast. The mechanic got extremely rude, and combative. I thought I had 8 8 volt batteries in my buggy that would not take a charge from my charger. So I wanted the batteries tested to see if they were toast. He argued with me about how the charger was not set up to charge my buggy, and said if I wanted batteries he'd do it. So I said before we replace them, just test them to see if they were bad. That annoyed him. He never even looked under the seat at the batteries which would have revealed they 6 volters. At that point I reloaded the buggy back on my trailer. The nice lady came out and looked at the batteries and advised me they were 6 volters. She was pretty embarrassed by the mechanics behavior and apologized for it. Unfortunately Scott, (who has helped me before), was not there to witness this mechanics behavior. As a previous business owner for 45 years, that employee would have been terminated on the spot. I left and went to Northside. I explained what was happening with my buggy. He went right to my batteries, plugged in my charger, and saw the default light flashing. He then plugged a new charger to my buggy, and it was taking a charge. I purchased the charger, all is good to go. He worked thru it All that said, I have no animosity for the south side location, the counter lady, and Scott are very good, and helpful. Personally I would find another mechanic. That would cause me to go back. Amazing how a bad apple can hurt a...
Read moreI didn't like the Fact that I wasn't told until the battery was installed an paid for. That I couldn't keep my old battery without a Core charge! That's bad business techniques. Customers should be told about all of them at prior to a $152.59 battery sale! I felt pressured into not keeping my battery due to two people there telling me about a core charge, they made out like it was a lot; but on the receipt I got $1.00 for my old battery! Which isn't what battery Source will turn the battery into a lot more money than that. He was suppose to test the battery an didn't, before putting another battery in the vehicle! Terrible business practices by the two that was working! At the Southside location of Ross clark circle in...
Read moreI am only giving them one star because 0 stars is not an option. I bought a battery from them with a supposedly one year warranty. However just a few months later the battery died. When I went in to exchange the battery that was "under warranty" they informed me that it was not a replacement warranty but they would prorate it. On a $100 battery that was just a few months old my prorated replacement cost was $85......... how a new battery cost $100 but when it's a few months old its now only worth $15 to them...... a scam in my opinion. Don't waste your money or time...
