Honestly I have never left a restaurant in my 58 years and wasted food. Everything was loaded down with grease or butter, barely warm, very small selection to choose from. I had about 2 bites of the 4 things I chose with the least grease and already felt sick. My daughters fried chicken was gray on the inside.
It was rush hour and there were only 5 cars in the lot. I wondered about it then thought, it could be because people have shied away from buffets since covid and there were other places close by.
The service. Definitely not up to any standards. We waited close to 5 mins to be seated with only 5 tables being used. The server saw us with a child and we had to ask for a highchair, ask twice for plastic silverware because he could not eat with the quite large fork yet. 🙄 she did not come to check on us. Someone else came by asking how things were and I explained. She offered me a menu. I explained that the food would still be from the same cooks. She went to the manager, of whom never came to speak to us as dissatisfied patrons. Having been a manager myself, I would have gone to apologize. We did not have to pay for our meals yet in my opinion that was correct yet the least available option for them to take. Needless to say, I would never eat there again as I was ill until the next evening as my daughter and my 3 yr old grandson also refused dinner that night. I would not recommend this Shane's which is dad because I was excited to go eat there since I had not seen a Shoneys...
Read moreIf you look you will see the time this restaurant closes on Saturday is 8pm. Do Not Pay Attention to this time! Apparently, they wait to seat you, take your order, then when you take your first bite of food from their food bar. They say , "You have 5 minutes to get the food you want to eat because we are clearing it and have already started clearing the food. And we are closing completely in 15 minutes." So obviously we decided to leave because we wanted to relax and eat comfortably without rushing and also we wanted to enjoy the different varieties of food yet they took it away without our knowledge beforehand. The rudeness of the management as well when she advised us she wasn't allowed to tell us they were closing at 7pm because she would get in trouble. When we were trying to leave, we realized the doors were dead bolted locked, so we couldn't even leave. The other customers in there that had just sat down also were in the same situation as us and also said they were leaving. So rude ,so ignorant, and we will NEVER eat there again! Never have we ever dealt with such a situation. Our family of 4 had to find another option for dinner. We decided this instance would allow me to tell you to think twice before eating here and make sure not to be walking...
Read moreVery friendly, courteous, and efficient Waiter. The food is delicious. We dined in for lunch on 6/16/20 (Tuesday) at 1:15pm. They have carry out and Dine-in. I think you can even wait in your car and have staff bring out. The dining room is very clean and booths are sanitized after each person/party leaves. Waiter and lady who works at the buffet all wear a mask. Buffet staff puts the food on the plates for you. Though not required, I highly recommend wearing a mask when ordering or going to the buffet, except for when you eat, especially if you are over the age of 60, and definitely if you are over 70 or you have health issues. They are seating to about 40 percent capacity currently. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. The air-conditioning is just right. We enjoyed our meal - the hamburger/chopped steak with onions and mushrooms comes with 2 sides (you select) for $10.99. The buffet is also a good option for just $7.99. I really recommend this restaurant. It was a nice atmosphere. ...
