Captain D's — Restaurant in Douglas

I've eat here many times, but was never as disappointed as I was today! Got the baked flounder with a shrimp kabob nestled on a bed of hard rice! The flounder was next to tasteless as any fish I've ever eaten! The oysters were new on the menu so I tried them. I love oysters so i ordered a large order, Big mistake, the picture don't do it justice, they were fried so hard it took great effort just to crunch them, thinking it was just a mistake I sent them back and received some exactly the same way as the first! The waitress who brought them to me made a statement to the effect of "they look exactly like the first ones" I said yes ma am, exactly! She offered to go get me some more but as I'd been here for over an hour to get what I got, so I wasn't chancing it!! It may be a while before I return...

Well I stopped at this resturant and had planned to take my daughter there for her 1st experience at a capt ds.after a very long and trying day we get to the resturant 10 mins before closing (not normally something I do) however we had been traveling, the doors we already locked, still had people inside, the yound lady let us in told us a couple things she was out of and we said ok no problem and placed our order. Next thing I know the cook comes out of no where and screams I DONT HAVE NONE OF THAT I CLOSE IN 6 MINS. look I have worked the food industry for 15 plus years you fix what people order and yeah u got it cause if u r out of everything u need a new job. Cause how are you gonna open your doors the next day dummy. Secret shopper FAIL...CORPRATE CALL IN AM...HOPE U HAVE A BAVK...

This is by far the worst captain d’s I’ve ever ate at. The food is TERRIBLE. I ate here yesterday and the broccoli was chewy, the fries were cold, and the fish was extremely greasy. I was the only customer there so this tells me that this food had probably been sitting there for awhile because fresh food is going to be warm/hot. I got home with my food and still tried to eat it because I spent over $16 on my order. Huge REGRET, I’ve been up since 1:30am with the worst nausea! It’s sad that this captain d’s has one of the best locations in Douglas for a restaurant to be and this is the type of food served. This place needs to shut down or some better management needs to come in to teach the employees the proper way to...
