I called in a Friday afternoon to get a catering order for the 30 person taco bar. I spoke with the shift manager and got the order together. She told me how much it would cost and I was blown away. I ask if they provided veteran discount and she said yes. She gave me the new amount and then said she would run my credit card later because there were customers at the register. The next day, one hour before pick-up I called and spoke with the same lady. She told me the order was ready with the exception of cooking the meat. I arrived to pick up the order and nothing was ready. It took 45 minutes with 3 customers in the restaurant. They weren’t even busy, just not prepared. There was so little meat that I bought another $78 worth so there would be enough to feed everyone. I then went to the grocery store and bought more cheese. After getting home and looking at my credit card account she charged me $120 more than what she told me she was going to run on the card. Absolute disaster. Very little food for a whole lot of money and...
Read moreFirst time going, Food was ok not the best. I got maybe 4 small piece of steak on my mini nachos, that I got charged extra for (didn't know it was going to have a up charge, no big deal, but 4 pieces should not have been over a dollar). The guys that prepared the food were nice and friendly. The lady's at the register asked me a question 2 times and ignored my answer about what all I had, then automatically charged me for drinks I didn't say I wanted because she ignored my response when she asked... (She took it off after I said something) food wasn't bad, how ever I won't go out of my way to go back. We wanted to be out of the way and sat by the salsa/drink area. If there are people there at the table near it, the trash shouldn't be changed (unless needed) the smell was horrible. If I wasn't finished I would have definitely been done. The friendliness of the gentlemen behind the counter is the only reason I...
Read moreMy co-worker and I have an ongoing battle as to which is better Surcheros or Chipotle. He prefers Chipotle but has little imagination and a very narrow palate. I like the jalapeno cheddar tortilla and the steak burrito. I actually just went to Chipotle last night 3 days after surcheros and I don't think it is a contest. Surcheros wins hands down. You can get both sour cream and guac on your burrito and no extra charge. Did you hear me no extra charge for guac! I thought that kind of extra went out with full serve gas and filling stations that check your oil.
The only two negatives that I have about surcheros is that it seems kind of messy especially during peak times and it can be a little slow working your way through the line.
If you see Clint in surcheros in Douglas voice your opinion that they win hands down...
