Valley View Saloon — Restaurant in Dover

Good place to eat if your in the area. The Burgers are wonderful as are the sweet potato fries! Came by on a Sunday evening and not crowded. Pros; Great food - Fun atmosphere - several tv's to watch sports, if you want. Cons; Felt like we were rushed. The waitress staff were attentive but in our opinion, way to attentive. Kept trying to take our plates. She tried to recommend a to go box for our friend who was not finished with his wings. Heck they even took away the condiment tray before I even finished my desert. The big thing was, the place was half full and there was NO reason to make us feel rushed. We were brought here by a friend that comes here a lot and He even felt pressured. Not my kinda place, if this is the way it's going to be. I'm hoping it was a fluke and not the new normal. Would I come back, maybe..... if...

Stopped here with our two boys (10 and 16) and it did not disappoint! The service was on point and our food came out in a timely manner. We had the wings and vegetable dumplings to start-my husband is a wing man and he LOVED these. The dumplings could have had a little more crunch to them but where that lacked made up in flavor. The burgers were not frozen and made to perfection (cooked medium). I asked our sons where the last place was where they made true burgers and they said, “the backyard”. I’d say the valley view saloon nailed it, no frozen patties there. The bread is fresh and the cheesesteak was ooey goey 🤤. So many places skim on the sauciness of a cheesesteak sub-not here! Burgers as big as your head! We came for the beer and stayed for the burger! The food was delicious and exactly what you want after a morning of shredding the gnar. Fresh toppings, perfectly toasted bun and I think I counted 3 pieces of cheese! Fries were hot, crispy and seasoned. You will not leave hungry! The selected of beer was the #1 Vermont hitters that I want to see on a menu - I didn't drive 6 hours for a Budweiser. The atmosphere was chill and playing the top ska and punk hits from the late 90s and early 2000s, pulled at my heart strings.
