Dolce Cravings — Restaurant in Downey

TikTok got me here, and as the name of the place suggests, this place is ideal for when you're craving for something sweet. The idea is nothing out of this world (freshly made dime-sized pancakes with up to three toppings to choose from) but the execution is what makes it great. This place is actually located inside another restaurant, since I think they rent out the window section and pay the owners for the space (the actual local is called Emporio Sushi & Mariscos, so just Google Maps it and it should take you to this place, as they both share the same address). The portion sizes range from 15 mini pancakes for 7 bucks, all the way up to 100 pancakes for 40 bucks. The place is run by about 4 or 5 really nice college-age women and although they do get a line going, due to the high demand and also maybe needing some more personnel, the pancakes are worth it. Very tiny place and extremely hot while waiting for practically 30 mins for my order. The workers lost my order reciept and never bothered to ask if we were waiting for something or if we ordered. Mind you there wasn’t a lot of ppl there and I asked about my order and they didn’t even know that I ordered. AGAIN they could’ve checked up and asked if I had ordered anything but didn’t. Bad customer service! And didn’t bother to offer anything for their mistake. Had my daughter and I waiting in a hot area for a long time! Also, the workers need to wear hair nets since I kept seeing a girl with glasses constantly touching her dirty hair with the gloves she had on that were being used to touch food and drinks....

if i could give it zero stars i would, the girls there were so unwelcoming and their customer service was not good at all, they kept starring at us from the moment we walked in. There was only another set of people in there and our order took forever to come out, my matcha was also clumpy. the food is nothing like it’s advertised on social media so don’t even waste your time coming here bc it’s not good and overpriced. to add on to this, the other lady in there asked to order something and she was completely ignored, pls don’t waste...
