Downey Bobaloca — Restaurant in Downey

About a year ago, my daughter wanted to try boba for the first time. This location was close to where we were running errands, so we tried it just out of convenience, and I'm glad we did. I wasn't a fan of boba, so I wasn't much help in helping her pick a drink. The team at the location realized my daughter needed help, and they were extremely gracious in their efforts. They made suggestions based on flavors, appearance, and textures, and they really cared to help her find something she would like. My daughter loved her drink and has become quite the boba fan because of them. I even ended up trying a drink and realizing I just wasn't a fan of the traditional Tapioca boba (although it's grown on me). My only complaint is that now my daughter always wants boba. Thank you all for the great experience and the daddy, daughter memory. As a matter of fact, maybe our family will come visit you today for Father's Day!

As a note, my family was just discussing having boba today. I looked up this location and saw a negative review that had been left by someone who had VERY much the opposite of my experience. I find it necessary to point out that one person's experience is not always the same as another. Be sure to check if a review is an outlier from the norm, and don't let it cloud your judgment. Also, take notice if someone has a tendency to mostly leave negative reviews. They might be bringing those negative experiences upon themselves, or they may have another motive (especially if they have multiple negative reviews of similar...

the place is very quiet, the menu is good, the only reason why I don't give it more stars is the poor service of the employees or managers of the place, I regularly buy in that place, I have done it several times, to see if I I am wrong or they do not understand what I ask, I always order a Thai tea milk boba and I ask them if they can add more milk and less tea, they always answer yes, but they never do, they are always laughing, I don't know if is for me or not, but them disrespect me, I'm not telling them to give it to me for free, I can pay for them to put more milk in it, but they don't listen, today I went, they did the same thing they added more but instead to add what I asked them to do was milk, they put coffee in my drink, I hope they can talk to the girls in that place, I would appreciate...

so unprofessional. i placed an order through grubhub & received a completely different item & the wrong drink. i ordered a waffle with ice cream & fruit, but they gave me a disgusting black bean sandwich instead 💀i hate black bean so much, it’s so gross! i couldn’t even eat the food.

and to make matters worse, i ordered a size large almond boba drink with lychee topping but they gave me a size small with missing toppings & the drink tasted like there was medicine injected to it😭😭😭 so gross i couldn’t even take another sip & had to throw the whole thing out. it left a very medicine after taste & my head started hurting. if something happens to me just know whoever prepped my order, they are the reason why. im going to sue this...
