Teriyaki Burger Premium Grill — Restaurant in Downey

Expensive, small portions, hidden fees, different prices for random reasons, and just unbelievable business practices. I saw decent reviews and had to try out, but I was sadly mistaken for coming here - more than $40 for 2 people and left hungry. The prices are outrageously expensive. I got my food and saw these small drinks that I paid $4.42 for ea. for "large drinks" and went to confirm to see if they were correct. They were the correct size, and refills cost $1 + tax. I also noticed the small portions for the nearly $15 dollar teriyaki fries I paid for. After being upset at the size and costs, I noticed the prices on the display menu and my receipt were different. I went to verify why they were different, and this is when the cashier pointed to a sign that said there is a 3.99% charge to use a credit card and the display prices were cash prices. I was never told this, and the language barrier can't be blamed because I ordered in Spanish for the cashiers ease. This 3.99% charge didn't make sense because the other item (Lg beef bowl) I ordered stayed the same price. The cashier couldn't even explain it. I was also initially charged 3 drinks that I noticed and got my money back for, which has me doubting if it was accidental. Food is decent, but not worth it for those crazy fees and prices. Been here 3 times in the past week, so I figured I owe them a review. This has become my favorite spot to grab easy takeout in Downey. The teriyaki chicken is grilled to perfection (that char?? Whew!), and they've got satisfying and huge bowls that hit the spot, and I don't feel like I'm indulging too much in a veggie/chicken bowl when I'm trying to eat healthier. But when I'm not trying to be healthier...their teriyaki burger is delicious and honestly, unmatched. If you're craving bold, flavorful teriyaki, this spot does not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly grilled, saucy, and satisfying. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients and put care into each order.
