I’ve been to just about every Boba spot in Orlando and this one just fell short. First off.. you can’t make any kind of online order and the 10% off advertising on their website is outdated. I called to confirm since most places I go to; I can make an order online to avoid the wait. The employee told me they do take orders over the phone but that they wouldn’t be for the next 10 mins when I called simply because they were busy. That’s not so much of what I was disappointed by yesterday. The place when you walk in is very aesthetically pleasing- it looks clean, nice spot for a photo op with your drinks, just overall a chic shop. The reason I’m giving 3 stars is for their overpriced drinks which tasted pretty bland to me. I ordered just your regular milk black tea and usually I expect just a hint of that refreshing fragrant flavor combined with the tapioca pearls. And it just tasted flat.. maybe it wasn’t steeped long enough or possibly tea that has already gone through one to many orders. The pearls.. well I love my traditional black tapioca pearls but they only had crystal boba (which I feel they should specify on their menu cause it just states tapioca) there is a stark difference from the traditional to the crystal tapioca pearls which is just straight up agar. So the taste is very different-texture however is the same. When I asked the employee about this he just quickly rushed me off saying yes this is tapioca. So I didn’t bother trying to sit there debating the difference. So that in combination with my bland tea is was just very underwhelming for a place that by appearance seems like they would live up to the bubble tea standard. And lastly this place is WAAAY too overpriced most of the starting prices of their drinks are $5 and up between just a M-L. Not to mention their pricing for toppings (yikes) it’s .65 cents and up literally just .80 for cheese Foam!! Where most places any additional topping is .50cents. So I of course finished my drink but really only because I didn’t want the $7 to go to waste! You are better off going someplace else. I will credit them on their cool shop and their cups which are a good sturdy material so their cups can definitely...
Read moreI wish I would have read the reviews for this location sooner… it would’ve spared me from this horrible experience. I went into the store, employees were talking amongst the selves, no greeting received but that’s not a big deal breaker for me. I placed my order for some corn dogs on one side and came to the other side for boba (they really should just combine the two).
I didn’t see the taro on the kiosk, so I asked the associate if she had it available. She said they use a different name, but that they have taro. I asked for 70% sweetness, light ice and coconut jelly. I waited about 10 mins and as soon as I took my first sip, I knew something was wrong. The most obvious detail was that this did NOT taste like taro. But it was also ridiculously sweet, and the tapioca balls they use are not the brown sugar boba I’m used to… they said they only have clear boba, very gummy almost imposible to chew and break down. Like rubber. It’s not what I’ve seen in pictures so idk what’s going on at this location. I took a few more sips hoping my palette would adjust, but it did not. I decided to speak to the associate and express to her my concerns. (The taro tasted weird, overly sweet and boba too chewy). She said that they use a different boba there but that “no one has complained” about the taro tea before or its flavor. She also denied me a refund or exchange, so I thanked her and left. The first thing I want to say is that she’s a LIAR, because I see now in the reviews that other people have complained specifically about the taro tea. But more importantly, I find it extremely unprofessional and in poor taste to deny a refund or exchange when a customer received something that just doesn’t taste good. Taro boba is my go-to drink, I have tried MANY different varieties and this is by far the worst. I advise you all to think twice before coming here, the boba doesn’t taste great and the customer service is even worse. Youve...
Read moreIf I could write zero stars I would. So much happened today and I’m never coming back.
I came in yesterday and my drink was perfectly fine, so I came back today to order it again and it was a nightmare, what made it worse was the customer service.
My frozen mango yogurt tea was not frozen; it was served hot because apparently the boba were freshly made and when that happens, they’re hot. Understandable, but how was I supposed to know if I wasn’t told ahead of time by the girl at the counter.
When my drink obviously tasted different compared to yesterday, I made a comment and the girl simply said “if you don’t like it, just toss it”. WHAT?!
I asked for a refund or to have my drink made again and she simply said “no, our policy asks you to toss the drink if you don’t like it, WE DONT REMAKE OR REFUND DRINKS , especially if THINK we made it right”. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me there was no manager there when I ran into the manager outside.
To make things worse, the girl at the counter told me the only thing I can do is call my credit card and dispute my $19 charge for the two drinks. WHAT?! So I have to risk locking my credit card because you wouldn’t refund me or remake my drink?
My drink was never touched except when I tasted it and their answer was to toss it and dispute the charge. Never in my life have I heard of something like this. You can see in the photos that the drink was full.
I should also mention the girl at the counter was training someone new and was being absolutely rude to them. She was snatching drinks from their hand as the trainee was trying to learn. You shouldn’t have someone like that working in your location, much less training someone either. I’m definitely not...
