We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Maya Thai! Our party of 10 was warmly welcomed, and the service throughout the evening was nothing short of outstanding — friendly, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful.
The food was exceptionally fresh, full of vibrant and authentic Thai flavors. We ordered the Red Curry, Beef Larb, Mango Sticky Rice, and Thai Iced Tea — and every single dish was a hit with both the adults and the kids. The mango sticky rice was such a crowd-pleaser that our kids asked for a second plate (which speaks volumes)!
What really stood out was the chef personally coming to our table, chatting with the kids, and going out of their way to ensure all ingredients were nut-free due to allergies — a level of care and attention that’s rare to find these days. There was a person in a wheelchair and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate and make him feel comfortable- special shoutout for that!
The restaurant has a super cute, cozy aesthetic — perfect for families — and everything was served fast and fresh. The entire space, including the bathrooms, was spotless, which added to the comfort of the experience.
We also appreciated that the menu offered halal options, which is so important for our family.
After struggling to find truly flavorful food in Orlando, Maya Thai was a breath of fresh air — bold, balanced flavors in every bite, and none of the blandness we’ve encountered elsewhere.
Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for authentic Thai food, excellent service, and a warm...
Read moreThis was hands down the worst customer service experience we've ever had. My friends and I, a group of five out-of-town visitors, walked in eager to try the place. We sat down, and after waiting a full 30 minutes with no one acknowledging us, we finally managed to get someone to take our order. We then waited another hour for our food, only to find out the waiter had forgotten to put our order in. When we asked to speak to the manager, things only got worse. The manager—who was not only egotistical but also incredibly rude—told us we should wait another 20 minutes for our food to go. We were beyond frustrated at this point.
When we finally went up to collect our food, the staff completely ignored us. At this point, we felt like we should be compensated for the two-hour wait, but instead of an apology or any attempt to resolve the issue, the manager had the audacity to tell us we were "doing too much" and asked us to leave. To top it off, the owner started yelling at his employees right in front of us like it was our fault. And let's not forget the tea—tasted like rubber.
This was not just bad service; it was outright humiliating. We were a group of young women, and the condescending, sexist treatment we received from both the manager and the owner was appalling. We were made to feel like our concerns didn’t matter and were kicked out for something that wasn’t even our fault. As visitors to Orlando, we’ll never return to this place, and it has completely ruined our view of the city. Avoid this place...
Read moreOur experience at this restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. My friends and I, visiting from out of town, decided to eat here and were met with terrible service from start to finish. When we arrived, we sat at a table and waited for over 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us or took our order.
When we finally brought it up, a server came over to take our order, but things only got worse. After waiting an hour with no sign of our food, we approached the server again, only to be told that he forgot to put our order in. Frustrated, we asked to speak with the owner, who showed no concern and told us to wait another 20 minutes for our food to be packed to go.
After all that waiting, we went to pick up our food, only to be completely ignored by the staff. At this point, we felt we had been more than patient and asked if they could at least make it right. Instead, the manager dismissed us, saying, “You’re doing too much,” and told us to leave. On top of that, the owner was yelling at his staff in front of everyone, creating an even more uncomfortable atmosphere. To make matters worse, the tea we were served tasted awful, like chemicals or rubber.
This experience was humiliating and infuriating. We were treated poorly for something that wasn’t our fault, and as a group of young women, we felt completely disrespected. It’s safe to say we will never return, and we advise anyone else to avoid this place. It was a horrible experience that left a terrible impression on our...
