We went there today (myself , my husband and our 3 yr old toddler) We reached at around 7:01 p.m. We waited at our table for the menu to be handed, well after 5mins we ourselves asked for the menu.(1st point for a bad service) Within 2-3 mins we finalised our order (chole bhatura, dosa and hyd chicken biriyani) and placed our order. But after placing our order(within less than 5mins), my husband realises biriyani would be little heavy , so he went upto the waitress and requested for the biriyani to be cancelled, instead he requested for a dosa, The waitress said no the biriyani cannot be cancelled now , its too late.(yes i checked the time then ,wondering how “its too late”…it was 7:12 p.m). So we thought it was ok, we settled for the biriyani itself and did not change anything in the order. After waiting around 15mins , the chole bhatura arrived. Then 15mins after chole bhatura the dosa arrived. It was about 7:50 till no sign of biriyani (basically more than 35mins aftr placing our initially order). Finally it was getting too late, we again went upto the waitress and said that they can pack the biriyani and if possible serve us a dosa at earliest .they did tht and dosa was served within 5 mins. Whole point is if a dish takes around 40mins to be served , then y cannot be it cancelled within 5 mins. I mean we can cancel/edit our orders in Doordash/UberEats within a certain timeline . This type of rigid service at the cost of guests’ being uncomfortable is not accepted. Lastly it did not have a kids menu(strange!!) Food was good. But service was worst till date (of all my experience) Now after having our food ,i wanted to take my toddler to the restroom for washing her hands. The restroom was occupied, so we waited outside the restroom. In the meantime the owner(the male owner) inquired if i was waiting for handwash.I said yes and To that he replied that i could use the washBasin near the juice/bar counter for washing my kids’ hands and pointed us to that.It was really nice of him to suggest that. I went near the washBasin to get my toddlers hand washed ,suddenly the female owner appears and says to me “You r not suppose to enter this area and use this washbasin”..i was surprised nd I replied “I was suggested by the person who was standing here” ( though the male owner was not present there anymore).I left that area immediately (surprised and offended) and waited outside the occupied restroom and then got my toddler’s handwashed. I mean its clearly states the poor service the restaurant have. Good dining experience does not mean only good food. Bad service, long waiting time sums up to a bad dining experience. Not visiting again....
Read moreThe proprietor of three eateries in the Horizon West district—Naan Stop, The French Cafe, and Evoo - Windermere—has unveiled their latest culinary gem: Hyderabad Cafe Desi Eatery, nestled in the southern reaches of the Dr. Phillips area (the upcoming Town Center at O-Town West).
Though the restaurant commenced operations in January, its current menu is in the midst of a soft launch. Despite this, it boasts a diverse array of offerings, spanning Southern Indian, Northern Indian, and Indo-Chinese fare, including the crown jewel of Hyderabad in India’s cuisine—the renowned Biryani!
The restaurant decor is a contemporary, immaculately curated space adorned with wallpaper depicting idyllic scenes from the villages surrounding Hyderabad. I understand the owner is from this city.
I ventured with my wife and mother. Our dining experience was a symphony of flavors. We ordered classic dishes like Chili Paneer, Chili Chicken, Gobi (Cauliflower) Manchurian, Malai Kofta, Palak Paneer, Garlic Naan, and Bullet Naan. Rice accompanied the curries.
I was particularly impressed by the nuanced flavor profiles of the Chili Paneer and Chili Chicken, each expertly complementing its star ingredient. Meanwhile, the Gobi Manchurian boasted a delightful crunch and was served in its intended dry form—a refreshing departure from the soupy rendition commonly found elsewhere.
The Malai Kofta and Palak Paneer curries were a testament to culinary finesse, striking the perfect balance of spices and flavors even when ordered at a medium heat level. The Malai Kofta, in particular, delighted with a burst of cardamom that gracefully subsided, allowing the other spices to shine through.
True to tradition, the naans were a revelation—fluffy yet impeccably crisp, serving as the ideal accompaniment to the rich curries.
With eager anticipation, we await the full unveiling of the menu. We were informed it will take another 2...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Indian restaurant, and I can't stop raving about it. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality.
The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern chic and traditional Indian aesthetics, creating an inviting atmosphere. The soft lighting and soothing music set the stage for a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Each dish was a masterpiece in itself. The flavors were an explosion of authentic Indian spices that danced on my taste buds. I couldn't help but order seconds of the butter chicken; it was that good! The naan bread was freshly baked and served piping hot, a perfect complement to the curries.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. The presentation was exquisite, and the portions were generous. It's evident that the chefs here take immense pride in their craft.
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. They catered to our dietary preferences and ensured that every dish was a delight.
To top it all off, the dessert was a sweet symphony of flavors. The gulab jamun was heavenly, and the mango lassi was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.
I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place will exceed your expectations. It's a culinary journey through India's diverse flavors, and I can't wait to return for another...
