This was my 1st time to this location. The older lady with the jet black hair was there. She was so preoccupied. We were offered a booth. She sat us at a table for the mean time. As she was taking our order, she walked away to go outside to talk to another customer, asking us to wait. She yelled across the place to tell him to wait while in the middle of our order and proceeded out the door. We were offered guacamole far before we were offered a drink. Your guacamole is not worth $9. I ordered straight vodka which was a horrible drink. I watched the server, if you can call her that, give the next two parties the booths that became available. When the server finally came back around I asked what happened to our booth and she asked us to wait again. I told her that she already gave the 2 booths away to people after us and I was ready to leave. The best part of her job was bringing me the bill. Worst $30 I've spent at a "restaurant" in a while. Definitely will not be returning to this place. The bar next door had better drinks and customer service and I will definitely return to that place. By the time the bus boy/server guy came around, it was far too late. I had told him her service was horrible and we'd be leaving. He did nothing to try to make us to stay. Your Pasadena location has better customer service and even with that being said I haven't returned there either. The sad part is that I remember when the 1st location in San Gabriel opened. A long time ago. This place is very far from what customer service should be. I still tipped her $5 which was $5 more then she was worth. Your mediocre crowd is as good as you'll ever be and I thought that you'd be the best for a city that doesn't offer much. Was I really sat in front of the men's bathroom...
Read moreBeen going here for years. We usually have a group of 10-15 people every other two weeks. After Bible study meeting.. So I thought it be good to introduce my uncle as he's a patient of St.Jude. Anyways, they accommodated us outside. Turned on the heater which was greatly appreciated . The female server was excellent. Very attentive. That's where the 3 stars go. Drinks were on point. The ceviche shrimp green enchiladas were just the way my uncle could eat them. He loved them. He has a terminal illness, So it was really nice to see him finally eat! Now the fajitas had mostly veggies. Tiny piece of meat. Like where's the beef? A few pieces of chicken. Again where's the puakpuaki (aka ) Did they run out of proteins? The manager was nice for the evening.
I didn't make a fuss bc of my uncle's condition anything negative can trigger his heart. But I did mention it to one of the helpers. And was told oh I'm sorry. That was it.
I called the following day and spoke with the day manager. I believe her name was Cris. She wasn't receptive at all! After explaining the delicate situation with my uncle!! She then again stated "you had to have told the manager because I can't do anything about it."Then said I don't know what to tell you. I told her I have a video of the food. She said well of u want to send it to me you can. But I can't help you even though you send it. THEN WHATS THE POINT? she said it really sarcastically!! So I asked who's the regional manger or owner. She said I'll let him know. I asked for contact information and was declined. She said I'll let them know. So obviously she didn't want me to contact them!! She then got a bit confrontational !!! So I wasn't getting anywhere with her... WHAT BIG DISAPPOINTMENT FOR...
Read moreFood was okay, I believe its overpriced for canned food. I get better quality at mexican market hot deli. Service was really poor. They were not attentive and lacked attention to detail. Such as sitting us and checking up on us after to get our order. Waited forever to get our order in and receive our food. No refills until we had to ask on drinks. When our food arrived we had to also ask for napkins and utensils. I guess they think we can eat menudo soup without a spoon and everyone needed forks for their platters. They delivered the food and never brought tortillas that my soup included until I had to ask and refills on drinks. The attention needs to adjusted to at least asking customers how the food was. If they had at least been attentive I would have changed rating to 4 stars. People visit restaurants to not have to cook at home so understand that food is not always going to be the best but we go to enjoy and celebrate an outing in a enjoyable environment and definitely friendly service. Sadly I was recommended this place. Maybe it was because they enjoy drinks and the attention was focused on people having alcoholic beverages instead of the rest of the clientele. It was early Saturday afternoon and servers seemed to only be chatting among themselves instead of checking on their customers. It wasnt even busy for them not to be be able to handle a quick check and tell customers their food would be out soon. They need to adjust their service. 1st time here and...
