I was traveling down I-16 heading to a week vacation with my family and we stopped by this restaurant. We all know that McDonald's has the best french fries in the world (there is no dispute for this) and my wife was craving some french fries - no she is not pregnant :). We pull in, the family walks the dogs and I go in to get those magical fries for my wife. I was greeted by a smiling face once I entered and was asked if I could be helped with my order. I appreciated the customer service and told the young man that I just needed some fries that morning. To my dismay, he told me that fries are not available until 11:00 am and it was only 10:30am at the time. I was crushed! How does McDonald's not sell french fries 24/7/365 and how do I tell my wife that there are no fries when all she wanted was those delicious morsels? But wait! Ambria came to the rescue! She approached me after seeing my disappointment and asked if she could help. I told her about the fries that I desperately needed and she told me she would check something and get back to me. Within 30 seconds, my fairy godmother (also known as Ambria) told me that she spoke to the manager (Shawn) who agreed to "drop some fries in just for me". I nearly leapt out of my body with joy as I can't ever remember being treated so kindly at a McDonald's in my 48 years of being alive! Ambria rung me up at the register and I think I left her a $10 tip for her kindness and incredible customer service. After a few minutes, Shawn brought me my fries with a smile and I proceeded to tell her that this was the best McDonald's experience of my life and I will tell the world! So here I am telling everyone, if you are driving on I-16 towards Macon, GA or going eastbound towards Savannah, GA, stop by the McDonald's at exit 51. They are amazing and I will absolutely be back every time I am in the area! Thank you...
Read moreOkay so I work an hourly retail job and my boyfriend works fast food so I understand the difficulties that come with the job. So we pull up and the screen to stuck on the last customers order. She just said thank you for choosers mcdonald’s and disappeared and in 4 minutes i watched 3 cars in the other line have their orders placed. Keep in mind they are supposed to keep it down to a minute a window so they are way too long for us. Then my mom walked to the window since they weren’t responding to us to let them know and the girl told her that she can’t do anything without giving us a solution. When she got back to the car the girl once again said thank you for choosing mcdonald’s and my mom pointed out the screen was still stuck the girl said one moment. My mom after a minute of silence said I know what to order even without it if that works. We got no response and after another minute could hear the girl actually taking the order of the person in the other line this was the 4th car which meant after she said hello to us the second time she then started to take the other cars order. I actually had to roll down my window to hear so she had changed something with our speaker because before i could slightly hear through it. We ended up just leaving. If i had been the one driving I would have pulled up to the window and explained to them the incompetence of what she should do but I wasn’t and honestly they should be greatful for that. But this is unacceptable at any place and I would expect at least decent understanding...
Read moreJuly 5, 2016 around 8pm, I was passing through Dublin, traveling from Savannah to Atlanta to catch a flight home to Dallas, Tx. Whenever I am in GA & pass through Dublin I always stop. They have the very best Country ham biscuit you can find anywhere. But this stop was for a glass of iced tea. When I got back to my car I needed to put some eye drops in my eye. I reached in my bag and unknowingly pulled out a bottle that turned out to be nail glue (super glue) & dropped one drop into my left eye. I immediately felt as if acid had dropped in my eye. I ran into McDonalds, holding my eye and crying for help. When the cashier realized I was hurt, she immediately took me into the bathroom to try and help. Another girl came with her and called 911. These girls were so helpful and comforting. One of them stayed with me until the EMT got there and took over. I can't begin to thank these girls enough. I was terrified and in the most pain imaginable. I don't know their names but I would love for them to be recognized for their help and kindness. I would like for them to know that I am good now. A friend of my late mother, who lives in Dublin, picked me up the next morning from the Holiday Inn. She took me to her house & to the Dr daily for 4 days. I got excellent medical attention. My eye is almost as good as new now. Again I want to thank the staff at this McDonalds. I promise I will return to get a ham biscuit the next time I am...
